I seem to recall they said at one point that to upgrade apartments, they would have to basically rework them entirely from the ground up. Which would eat up a lot of time, effort, and money. There's also Yoshi-P having his breaks on about insisting we have 'neighborhood style' housing when honestly... the wards are just ghost towns anyway.
Clearly FF14 is hurting for money. Game is barely scraping by.I seem to recall they said at one point that to upgrade apartments, they would have to basically rework them entirely from the ground up. THEY ARE SHITTING ON US AND TELLING US TO BE THANKFUL.

Honestly, I don't think it's just a money issue at this point. They do have time constraints and team size constraints, and you know that if they devote time solely to housing others will bitch about 'muh endgame content!' or whatever else.

Considering that the same people are trying to juggle FF14 and FF16, in a quiet moment you could think that CBU3 is single-handedly keeping Square Enix afloat at the moment.
The housing situation sucks but honestly right now most of all I just want these people to not die from overworking themselves

Seconded. As much as this is really upsetting the people working on this game have lives and families to enjoy and take care of! I do hope more people remember that. (This is not to say don't complain, share feedback. Keep doing that!!!)Considering that the same people are trying to juggle FF14 and FF16, in a quiet moment you could think that CBU3 is single-handedly keeping Square Enix afloat at the moment.
