Really the cost of your electric bill is (in regard to pc usage) is relative to the hardware that you use and the power it requires. It def varies from player to player based on specs. Even tho the game requires a decent gaming setup/hardware i dont think that much savings can be reflected with such an implentation of idea. On the whole, itd save a few dollars altogether each year if implemented and if anything would just be a hinderence to those who go afk and leave the game on. For the aforementioned reasons, i really dont feel its be worth it.

Op if you are concerned with power usage while afk.... just log out. I dont want an auto logout feature.

The amount of energy saved by hardware being able to enter power saving mode is way too underestimated. A good example would be a gaming laptop lasting over 9 hours when idling vs 1-2 hours when running at max load. That over 4 times more energy used and yes, it is the same for desktop PCs.

Power saving should not be a motivation for implementing auto-logout though. If people want to waste their money, let them.
Congestion is another thing though. And since most people only use bazaar for storing items, I don't see why they shouldn't implement it in the cities (where most people idle)

Wrong, yes hardware needs a certain amount of wattage to run effectively, but that isn't what they use normally. When the game is running, the GPU, CPU, etc, are working harder, thus an increase in bill. You will notice a considerable increase in wattage usage from the gaming being on and just being on idle. It would be quite more then a few dollars.

Why should SE be worrying about people's electricity bill?

Take some responsibility yourself. SE has other things to be doing.
Why did SE worry about people having their weapons out before entering a dungeon? IDK, but it was implemented in the latest patch. SE does small things, why not this?
