I replied with the list of characters and where they logged out. Then followed the link to this website and submitted that bug report.

You'd probably get a faster response if you posted about your problem in the Technical Support forum instead of the Bug Report forum since it's more of a technical issue than a general game bug. Also make certain to detail exactly what steps you've taken so far to try to fix the problem when you do it. I know you've said moving character files and reinstalling didn't work. Another common suggestion I'm finding is to reboot/reset your router (might be something else you've done already).
I don't know what else to suggest but good luck and hope you're back to playing sooner not later.

I did install the game on a other PC a few days ago and had to took following steps:
- download client
- login with my account when you had these 2 options
- closed the download setup window.
- changed password due SE security reasons
- opened the setup again.
- logged in again with new password
- the normal launcher started and also the main download.
Thank you for sharing! Glad to hear that the 'change password' seems to be a normal step in this instance. I think I'll give it a try again.

you could also use the OTP/2FA to get around having to change your password when logging in on a different setup.
So, just to add my suggestion to the pile:
Try a VPN. Seriously. I've had a lot of people that complain about abrupt 90k errors, such as when they hit "commence" on a duty or teleport or some other circumstance, and the issue goes away.
That's not to say it's 100%, it's not always what's wrong - but if you haven't tried it, I strongly suggest giving it a go and then it's at least one more thing ruled out.

Logged her out in an inn room last night; and suddenly she's doing the same 90002 glitch as the rest of them!
It'll take a couple days to do it, but I'm seriously considering trying again to download FFXIV on another computer. And thanks for the VPN suggestion; that's something else I can try.
But seriously; this needs to be fixed. I mean, it's a paid subscription! (and I'm missing out on the Make it Rain Campaign... *sobs*)

You had what 8/9 characters all unplayable with what seems to be a connection Issue with you logging them out at the Inn and you decide to log your last playable character out at a Inn :I
What Inn was It exactly? I also agree with the user suggesting a VPN connection, works wonders on this game.
