I can't play as 8/9 of my characters and I'm bored... :(

I can play as Graceful Gecko; a Female Roegadryn (did I spell that wrong ). She is almost to the point of having a Chocobo.


But I want to play as Lilira Ul'namo and wander Ul'dah...I miss playing as her so much...


I'm just so bummed at how long my precious characters have been unplayable with no answer in sight... *sighs*

EDIT: I have already contacted support. I'm just trying to kill time while waiting for their next response.

Since you're able to play on the one character successfully but not the rest, it might be a file corruption in your character settings folders.

Are you playing on PC? If so, move the character setting folders to a different location on your PC and then try to log in on your characters. That will force the game to create new settings folders for them and may solve the problem (though you'll lose your saved settings).

If it works, you can try to copy the old files with your saved settings from the original moved folders into the new folders a few at a time to see if the error occurs again. If it does, you'll know the problem was in the last set of files you moved back so you can delete those and finishing copying the rest back. You might still lose a few character settings but most should end up restored.

I wasn't intending to put the whole story here, since I already typed it all once today. I'll summarize:
* Tries to log in.
* Waits for queue.
* Animation of character waking in inn room.
* ERROR CODE 90002
* Kicks me out.

This is happening to 8 different characters on different servers. All the common suggestions have been tried. Lots of Google searches. Dealing with Square Enix support...

Were all the characters logged out in the inn room except for the one you are able to play, or was that one also logged out in an inn room but you're able to play on it?

Because if that's the case, you might need to do a full reinstall.

Just trying to narrow down what's different for the one character since they're all on the same data center according to the list in your signature.

You use Win7?
Are all your driver's up to date?
Did you go to a friend's house to try logging in from their PC to move the character's out of the in?

I would try logging in on a friend's PC.
If that works then it is a you problem.
If you have the same problem with a other PC then it is a SE problem.

Marina Fangfin got a connection interruption before this affected her. Same with Raspberry Robinson. The others logged out properly in inn rooms.

Already did the full game reinstall. Took two days.

Updated graphics card drivers.
I can't go to friend's houses because I live with an immuno-compromised family member. (tried installing game on a separate computer. Ended up getting flagged by Square Enix and forced to reset my password. >:P

I replied with the list of characters and where they logged out. Then followed the link to this website and submitted that bug report.

That's normal and also good.
Account security is important.

But did it work on the other PC?
After changing the PW it should let you login on the new device without a problem.
