    why didnt you stop the auto renew option in mogstation? or is access to that blocked too?

    yeah we are blocked out of everything, mog station included unfortunately. They said if the account was 'terminated' that would cancel the payment, but since its 'suspended' the account info just remains...so we are SOL apparently...i just dont see how that is legal...it really blows my mind.

    You will have to contact support directly about it. There's nothing that can be done on these forums, let alone them even reading things here.

    As helpful as your comment is. I am fully aware of the process to contact customer support, that was obviously the first thing we did, my purpose for posting here is to ask if anyone else has had this problem...how was it resolved? Is it common practice for this business to continually charge players even after suspending their accounts, and why are WE as consumers allowing this unethical and likely illegal business practice to continue?

    Apologizes for my misunderstanding of your statements. You wanted to rant, not ask for solutions. I was speaking specifically about your subscription money. Like everyone else that has magically had their account compromised, they had to wait for them to finish the investigation of the account. If you think its unethical and illegal, you are free to contact some legal representation. Good luck with all that.

    I'll just leave this here for your perusing pleasure. You'll want Section 4.7 and Section 10. This is that thing you agreed to but didn't read, like the rest of us.

    You didnt provide any solutions either way, so not entirely sure what the point of you even commenting in the first place was. Definitely not clicking that link either lol but regardless we are not seeking a refund, we are already well aware of the user agreement. We just want the recurring payments to stop. Thanks for the well wishes.

    I gave you the link to the User Agreement on the main Lodestone official website. You can check that yourself, and stop being so dramatic about that. That is your solution - exactly what I gave you in that link.
    If you want the recurring payment to stop, then log into your account and stop it. That's your choice, not for SE to do. Solution given.

    The only thing you can do is wait and be patient for your rollback. If you reported it as a compromised account than they will ban the account until such a time the owner can show proof of ownership and reclaim it. For them to even do the rollback, the account owner can't be logged on at the time of rollback. This process can happen between 7 to 10 days.

    As far as reimbursement of down time in game, the fault doesn't lie with SE when it comes to who's to blame for the compromised account. They are not the ones who followed the link and logged you in. They want to keep you and others in the same situation as a customer however, so they will rollback your character before the account was compromised. So you should count your lucky stars that a company will do that much for you and learn from it. Spread the word to others about this phishing practice, so they don't fall victim too.

    No one here is blaming SE for the compromised account. What I am blaming them for is charging us for playtime while the account is not accessible. That is very different. Also, to make assumptions on how an account was compromised doesnt necessarily help in any way, and its quite rude. We were literally in the middle of a frontline when he was disconnected from the game and then locked out. There was no 'inputting my info into a link" so that is irrelevant. (very victim blamey of you). The condescension is unhelpful and unnecessary, have the day you deserve
