This playing the same map for 1.5 hours rotation is complete garbage. Just randomize the map so its a different map every time we queue. I hardly ever see certain maps because they are on rotation during times I don't play.

Randomize it in casual matches. In ranked only allow The Palaistra and get rid of the other two.
Ya palaistra feels like the only decently thought out map of the 3 in terms of layout. Just the right amount of LoS and open space where as the other two are just extremes of each other of too much LoS(and a nightmare on the camera) and the other having too much open space with the added annoyance of element effects on both maps.
Or you know, adapt your playstyle depending on the map? Shows a certain level of skill
Well, I don't what it is about The Palaistra but my winrate there is virtually nonexistent, whereas The Volcanic Heart pretty much got me from Silver to Diamond.
I have to disagree. It's the most straightforward and boring map. The other 2 have features that can really mess with people and are much more fun to play with. Furthermore open maps greatly favour ranged jobs, so the only map good for melees is the bomb one.
My highest winrate is on the volcano map. Doesn't change the fact that its a garbage map. It also doesn't change the fact that the current map rotation design is absolutely awful. Playing the same map on repeat for 1.5 hours is not enjoyable.
They don't add anything other than an arbitrary force of using guard.

Different layouts as well as the environmental effects. Blackfeather Boost is *massive*, it's 25% more limit gauge. Making effective use of it is key to winning Cloud Nine, which also means denying them to the enemy. Meteodrive and Primal Scream gain more effectiveness on both environmental maps because of their ability to break Guard. Sometimes it's better to hold them for an upcoming environmental effect than to use them right away. Volcano map has bombs leave behind stacking 10% damage up buffs, maintaining and collecting these buffs is key to winning. Cloud Nine has a very open mid that makes it difficult to approach for certain teams, volcano has a mid with lots of pillars that makes it difficult for some ranged classes to maximize DPS.
They're good maps, and there's a lot more to them than just "lmao use guard here."
