I wear all the gathering I possibly can along with a few other setups and still miss 2-3 times per node, HQ tools and all. If there is a RNG that takes stats into account, it is not functioning correctly as far as I can tell.

Yes, run into the same issue, I can get my gathering cranked up to 154 with food, and still miss. So yes once again, stats don't matter...
