[Suggestion] Can we get a “Hide All Players” option?

I'd rather not the devs waste their time on the most niche of niche things, same with the other guy wanting to '' hide glams ''.
I really think these things might seem easier to implement than it'd actually be and almost no one would use it.

Ultimately this is a MMO it just comes with the territory.
And like I said in the other thread it all just strikes me as '' Karen '' behaviour, never saw myself using that term but it's the best way to describe it.
Why do your personal grievances and nitpicks about other people matter so much that you need the devs to create a separate option for you?
It's like some weird indirect desire to control others and never have to see or deal with anything one might disapprove of it's honestly just very strange to me.

It's really not that hard and it's what most people do about stuff they might not like as soon as we open up the door for these personal grievances to be adressed we just enter a realm of absurdity.

Seriously, do you realize how many people at some point or another feel like relaxing in-game without being bothered? They don't feel like that 100% of the time, hence why they play the game but if you told them to up and quit, you'd be looking at a dead game.

It removes absolutely nothing from your own experience to allow others to have this too, so I don't see any issue.

Dont make this about me, I haven't argued anything about it effecting me, I questioned why you or anybody would play an MMO, and want to get rid of the MMO part.
Its not hurting you in any way. And you are literally in the wrong game if you want other players to be invisible and nonexistant.

I get that everyone else is meant to be "Other Adventurers," but are you telling me, in lore, that your average everyday adventurer would somehow find themselves in some of the later zones in EW? I honestly find that hard to believe.

And as I said before, players would STILL be displayed in Trials, Raids, etc. Only in the overworld zones would they be disabled if "Hide All" was turned on.

To me, other players don't solely make the world in this game feel real. A big portion of that world belongs to the NPCs/AI. Every once in a while, I'd just prefer to only see that specific portion alone. It'd only affect me personally. Why should other players be offended that I can't see them?

Are you telling me there is no chance that if there was a way or a means to do extraterrestrial travel, that "Adventurers" wouldn't take it up? If there are untapped Mineral Pockets that Gatheres with a means to get there WOULDNT take it up? If these materials could be used to make new items, that crafters Wouldnt want to get their hands on it themselves? I dont find that hard to believe At, ALL.
Before anybody mentions not everyone would use a ship...there is also an Alt means of traveling to different Aetherytes. And even places like Ultima have Aetheryte.
Also consider the Azem Crystal. You can literally summon companions with it.

And please, nobody is Offended by you wanting to hide their existence.
Its just being called into question why you would play an MMO, but want to be rid of the MMO. If you dont want to be in a social space, why not just play a Single Player Game?
Its fine that you like and want to play FFXIV. But wanting to get rid of a core part of what makes an MMO is a little silly.

The devs are explicitly in the process of making the entire story solo playable, this has been explicitly stated. It's not really a big deal to have an option like this available, particularly in an extremely story-heavy game like this. I don't think they'll actually implement it, but there's certainly no harm in requesting it.

People request a whole bunch of features all the time, sometimes lists of things they want made from scratch. I feel the devs would already have an easy way of implementing something like this, considering they can remove other graphics on screen all the time, which is why I don't believe this would be difficult to do.

I'm not trying to control other players. It's the exact opposite. You people can do what you want and it wouldn't be a problem for me, as long as I can't see it. People have been using mods for ages, and it's all things that the other person can't see. So what, people are allowed to make my character look the way they want on their screen, and that's not indirectly controlling me? Everyone is literally like this, some people just choose to voice their "grievances."

Don't you think I've tried to ignore RP-AFKers? I have tried. For half a decade. And I'm tired of pretending they're not an eyesore. You can think I'm an asshole, but that's personally how I feel. Why is it such a big deal that I want a way to remove a bunch of models off the screen? You act like I'm demanding other people be banned from the game for the sin of standing in front of me. It's not that deep lol. I just want a break from other players while I'm running some of the content.

The only time I'd want to hide other players is Leap of Faith, just because it can be hard to see the jumps from time to time. Maybe a "wisp" thing for that where other players look like wisps to you so it's not as bad?

Gameplay wise, yes, other Adventurers would obviously get on a ship to space. However, in the game's own plot, this has yet to be established. Within the game's plot, my character should be the only one with Azem's crystal. Therefore, other adventurers should not exist in Elpis. And I doubt the WoL would just summon other Adventurers here and there to gather and fish on a far away dead star without a good reason, no matter how endlessly amazing this exact same node she's hit a bunch of times is.

And if my playing an MMO is being called into question, then I'll just be honest: As a huge fan of the FF series who ignored this one and XI because I've never been able to enjoy MMOs in the past, I played the free trial for FFXIV years ago on a whim because of constant requests from a sibling to try it out. I was shocked at how well the gameplay worked on a Playstation controller, and how legit of a FF story the game featured. Afterwards I continued to play, with a focus on MSQ content, and the rest is history. Sibling no longer plays anymore, so I'm alone. I only got seriously into the game because of the MSQ, since I'm mainly a JRPG player. The game also just so happened to be an MMO. Is that enough life story reasons for you?

It's not silly for me to want to enjoy the game the way I always have, but with some improvements. The game practically encourages solo gameplay. No where are you really required to spend time with other players, outside of Trials. (Which is also changing soon too.) I'm simply used to this type of gameplay and assumed others were too. Apparently not. And trust me, the second this game gets a single player adaption outside of the MMO, I'd be gone. At least I wouldn't have to worry about paying the subscription anymore lmao.

I think when we're just out and about in the world it's just something we need to suspend disbelief for when we encounter others. I do agree with the point on everyone around the quest giver. Sometimes they have us start in instances and I'm sure that's related. If they had a way to phase us into our own area around a quest giver or location, that would help a lot.
