I don't see anything wrong with wanting to turn off the people standing around in Limsa doing nothing.

yeah, the only reason I said that was to be actively rude, because it's funny to me. shouldn't take it so seriously though.why would you even feel the need to include this except to be actively rude about a debate that really, genuinely, does not matter? This is not important. This is not important. This is totally and utterly inconsequential. Why would you talk to another human being that way about something utterly inconsequential?
Anyway. At the end of the day, all of the "BUT IT'S AN MMO" is just the online video game version of pearl clutching. It's really not that deep. It is still an MMO even if people are given more accessibility options, whether for visual accessibility, personal comfort, or their poor PC's sake. No one is trying to stop it from being an MMO and you can literally just leave and be completely unaffected by people wanting this lol. It's so silly. It is nothing that's going to alter ANY aspect of the game for ANYONE who doesn't want it.
Like, it's really not even just about people wanting to play solo. There could be any number of reasons to disable other player models from appearing for a little while, like reducing clutter while playing through story. Playing through Endwalker on launch was ridiculously crowded even with all the measures taken. Reducing the argument to "lol no one should want to play an MMO solo" is farcical and shouldn't even be deigned with a response at this point when there are 13 pages of that being completely refuted.
I'm all for this. If we can get an option to hide specific regions like EU and OCE players that would be even better.
When I am experiencing something for the first time I don't want mr frog head in my cutscene. Watching it back at the inn is not the same
Some of the same types cropping their heads up in objection to this toggle as the one to default people into job gear.
"NO, YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT ME THE WAY I WANT YOU TOO"
Big yikes, they make the game more and more solo friendly. I hope this is something they consider![]()
I could get behind this, but maybe we could expand on this a little more? Make an extra toggle so you can only see Friends and/or FC Members in the overworld? I'm sure there are players out there who'd like something like this.
Personally I'm against making the game more anti social. Doing stuff Iike this will only create more "nobody talks" or "the game is dying" threads. If I want a solo adventure I have single player games for that
I am gunna have to disagree. If it is that important for the story they do have that Trust system\Duty Support that will be for all MSQ But if you play with other players you are subjected to what they wanna look like because that is THEIR character not yours. When I am experiencing something for the first time I don't want mr frog head in my cutscene.
