I can see a sport being interesting provided there's content finder for participants, maybe it can use the PvP stats as part of its system, without the dying of course.

Blitz ball, well if they did put it in... It would probably be some time after release. Think of the animations.

Was I alone in enjoying Parley? I vaguely recalling Yoshi saying Parley might return in the Golden Saucer and I was really looking forward to that!

I think airships should play more of a role in the game.... Airship casinos! or air battles? airship racing?

Also, a card game of some sort NEEDS to be implemented. That is what I thought the levecards were in the hype to 1.0 release and I remember that was one of the most disappointing revelations when I realized that a collector card game was not implemented and would not be implemented...

Maybe a game like triple triad that uses levequest cards to play the card game. The cards strength and the level of the levequest it unlocks could be proportional. Rare cards could activate rare quests (and highly rewarding). Players would need to balance their deck selection because playing rare cards would mean having a strong deck, but it would also mean risking the loss of a rare quest... just some thought..

So i had a thought about the Gold Saucer, in FF7 the Hotel is Horror themed and there are various Moogle related parts to the Gold Saucer. Namely the entrance (where the gondola enters the goldsaucer) is a moogle with his mouth open. The moogle arcade machine and Cloud just sort of assumes that Cait Sith is a worker there (a cat machine riding a moogle machine)

Well King Moggle Mog and his crew were halloween themed (or the music was anyway) and the moogles have become more 'helpful' now that they work as postmogs and such. So perhaps it's because King Moggle Mog turned a new leaf, maybe he created/owns the Gold Saucer. Where you can fight him and his crew as a part of the battle arena.

Chocobo racing to have a pvp style ranking system would be ideal, even if the only head to head is in the form of the race.

That said, if they could incorporate alternate racing challenges like a chocobo hot & cold competition, I would be totally game for the added variety. ^^

As if this game wasn't addicting enough. The Saucer is going to live up to its name. I'll disappear into it one day, and won't be seen again until a few days later, naked and gil-less in the middle of Thanalan with no idea what happened to me in between.

Later on I'll discover a crazy tattoo of a cactuar on my ass...

I agree with everything the OP has posted there, including the quotations. I think it would be great to have a casino with a little of everything - more things to play and kill time on, more ways to get rewards for your wasted time, and the more options for people to enjoy, the better. People. Love. Options.

I want Chocobo races. Not just some tacked on, BS chocobo races.
Fully realized races that are actually fun and player controller.

An Arena where you can test your might against mobs.
I would hope they get harder and harder as you beat them
and that multiples would be included at higher difficulties.
