Relic quest gone

So I've completed the ARR relic quest on bard. But had the quest "A kettle to the mettle" in my journal.

I decided to go for the relic quest on my white mage. And Gerolt offered me this quest. I did the questline and upgraded the weapon. But there was no follow up quest. So I followed a guide and I could upgrade the weapon in the forge. I did, still now follow up... Then I read online that you can only have 1 relic quest in your journal... So I completed "A kettle to the mettle". But still no follow up quest. Maybe I went to far and skipped a quest because I upgraded the weapon in the furnace.

Heck I don't know. I mean is there even a questline or you just follow the other dude in town to upgrade it? #confused

"Kettle to the Mettle" (no "A" in the title) isn't a weapon upgrade quest. It unlocks a set of outdoor furnishings that Drake sells. It's the final quest in a short side quest chain that is unlocked after completing your first Zeta weapon. Having (or not having) that quest shouldn't affect any additional weapon upgrades you're working on.

Gerolt gave the first quest chain up untill the first weapon... Then he should give me the next chain to upgrade it in the furnace to get the zenith, this part I don't receive.... But I can upgrade my weapon in the furnace (I did that). Jalzahn should take over to create the atma version, but also no follow up from him.

Contacted GM and they are on it.

I'm not sure but could the issue be that you have it equipped? I don't know if you need the weapon in the armory or even in your inventory.

Nah tried, unequipping, putting it inventory etc etc.. Gerolt or Jalzahn doesn't give me the next one.. Also Gerolt keeps showing other relics I can hunt for other classes...

Sadly i have never done these relics.
According to that guide you also need a crafted weapon... maybe you need that to make a quest appear.

Nope, I've done all the relic quests on my Bard. I just want one on the WHM. I followed the first quest chain to get it (the one you linked)... But then the upgrading progress starts... But the follow up quest chain doesn't show up. So I actually cleared A Relic Reborn quest. Next step is Gerolt tells you to use the furnace to upgrade it (which I don't receive but I can somehow upgrade the weapon). Then Jalzahn should take over the upgrade process... Neither of these dudes gives me anything.

Solved.

You need to follow the quest without any markers for your second relic. Only the starting the first one is a guided one... Which is a bit confusing. I grinded 30 fates and no luck. So I gave up. Later decided to try a different zone and immediately I received an atma.
