I fantad to au ra bc theyre able to wear hats and are the only other race thats nonhuman enough to be interesting to look at.
I really hope 7.0 gives hrothgar hats. All hats not just new crap in 7.0. Ive got hats on every glam plate now bc they add so much to this hair I really love it.
I was really hoping in 6.0 in lieu of the existence of femgar hrothgar would be getting new hats every patch in addition to hair but no. Still like 3 wearable headpieces that dont completely delete your hair or a lame circlet/pair of glasses.
I want hats at fanfest. That could be the whole dang show for all I care. No new job, no femgar designs, just 20 seconds of a hrothgar in an inn flipping thru the headpiece slot and lo-and-behold big popular hats like the neoishgard sets or the calfskin rider cap or some cowboyesque hats fitting and showing a hatted hair model.
I would love to fanta back to hroth in 6.5 when we get Styled for Hire, one of my two MOST WANTED hairs but since what I really want (windcaller) wont be til 7.0 bc god forbid hrothgar not be two patch cycles needlessly behind viera I may not. I enjoy being able to use the full breadth of the hat slot too much that a nonwindcaller hair may not make up for it.

I will say, on the hat front, I have fallen so hard for these horns I got from the Gold Saucer. I just like how they look on my Hroth. But yes, ALL hats for everyone but especially Hrothgar. This is SE's biggest money maker. Hire an entirely additional team to get it done. I don't really care what anyone says, you do that kind of stuff for your most profitable game.

It always sticks in my side when they drop a new cash shop glam and- SHOCK, SUPRISE- hrothgar (and viera) get charged effectively more money for gear pieces that cease to exist on their characters and people are like "Oh it would take a lot of time and money to pay programmers to....do their job and make hats fit two player races" like I assure you with hundreds of thousands of hroth and viera in the game at 15+ dollars each theyd more than make up the money spent on modelling when two players feel like they actually get their moneys worth from a new purchase.

Im not hurting for alot of headgear on my Hrothgar, both my current Male Alt, and my Future Female Queen.
But the Hrothgar do deserve better, and I do hope they get alot of love next expansion. Its stupid and unfair how this race has been treated, and their excuses were understandable...at 1st. But now its literally just becoming an excuse, not even one worth defending anymore, especially after all of the patience we (well most of us) tried to have on this, and play nice about it.
Im even still being Charitable to them, but Im starting to run out of Patience and want to see some actual work being put into this race, and some acknowledgement that the Hrothgar exist. In terms of Headgear, and some more npcs (especially Voice Acted) would be nice to.

Now it's great hroths got some lore in Encyclopaedia Eorzea III. Now I hope there will be actually some in game in the future.

The headgear issue continues to demonstrate bad design. Their unwillingness to adress the issue is now just pure laziness.

I will once again be Charitable and say....they arnt addressing it, because they have nothing to show for it.
Just a Vauge Nod such as "It is coming" is cute, but does nothing for me. I want to SEE something, not just hear about it.
But Hopium is we will see something next month...or...what is it, October that the next Fanfest or whatever is? Hopefully we will see something very soon on the road to 7.0 for this poor Race.

Having nothing to show after 4 years is pretty damning, especially when modders had this stuff down almost immediately and while I understand mods don't follow the same guidelines as officially released content, there is at least something that can be done about it.

If anything, it proves it can be done in a single day (polishing details aside). They had 4 years.
