If you go back to when housing was first implemented, there are as many posts as there are plots all bitching about the housing system. No one is ever happy.To be fair I don't hate nor love the lottery i'm in middle but its a hell of a lot better than bidding against bots and random times that plots will open. Either your full committed to constantly pressing x or clicking mouse or just go with lotter for chance to win and not betting against bot. SE is damned if they do and damned if they dont. No one is satisfied and no one is happy. Honestly in current housing content. I got lucky and won but that took a year. Its no secret there are not enough plots but who knows they added 1800 maybe they will add more. Just keep your ears to the ground and keep watching. No copium boost its just being real you just keep trying till you either win or just plain give up.
If I were to change the lotto I would make it move MUCH faster.
It would work like this.
You pay to "register" for a lotto - depositing a amount of Gil at a NPC in your Grand Company (since you HAVE to have a GC rank anyways) That deposit makes you eligable to bid on up to 3 lots of equal or lesser value then your ticket.
Your first bid is your Primary bid, Then your secondary, then your tertiary.
When the Draw happens it rolls 3 times;
Prime bids can only be beaten by prime bids (the first roll)
Secondary bids can only be beaten by secondary bids
and so on.
My logic is that people might be willing to put a secondary bid on a "runner up" plot; a safety net - or even bid on a sure thing and as a result more houses will actually get claimed allowing lottos that follow to be less of a dogpile on whatever scraps no one wanted to bid on in the first round.
