Instanced housing is impossible yet instanced apartments exist explain this to me.

Ya my guild has bid every round and lost and yet on my server coeurl we have a guild that has not one but 3 houses in ishguard ward 14. It frustrating not being able to get a better house for my guild and the prime guild has 3.
That's technically 3 different FCs since a FC can only own one house. (Different FCs can have the same tag). I know two of them are related as the main FC is one of the biggest on the server and had to create a second FC to handle the overflow past the 512 member limit some time ago (a couple of the other really huge FCs on the server have had to do the same thing). I have no idea if the third one is related. They're also not the only FCs using the <PRIME> tag on the server. A few smaller FCs not related to the big one are also using it.
Keep in mind that they don't have 3 larges. The main FC has a large (they definitely need it) and their overflow FC took the small next door. The other FC I don't know has a medium.
They aren't preventing your FC from getting a better plot. Your FC had plenty of opportunities to secure a medium in the first lottery. There had been 15 mediums in the first lottery that had 0 entries, I had gone around and counted during the month they were sorting out the 0 bug, and I was satisfying my curiosity about what was empty due to the bug and what was empty because there were no bids.. There were a couple in the second lottery that still had 0 entries (one was located below my FC's small).
Sometimes that's how RNG works out. You take a chance, others take the same chance and they end up the winner.
Either way, stop blaming other players. Other players aren't responsible for how SE has designed the system to work. Blame SE.
^ ^ This 100 times.
People are encouraged to post feedback here. Obviously some players dislike the current state of housing, either in general or for some specific reason.
The SE forum troll task force is out in spades with complete bullshit like "there is a server shortage" and things like that to defend what is happening. I respect their right to do so, but it does not help at all. You're defending a company that has the talent and means to speak for themselves - stop making up excuses for them and discouraging players from posting feedback in the way they're encouraged to do so.
I'm not seeing anyone trying to discourage feedback.^ ^ This 100 times.

What is being asked is that the feedback be constructive and realistic instead of filled with dramatic exaggeration and distortions. The latter does nothing to encourage SE to actually listen to and address player concerns. They're a business, not parents trying to placate an upset child.
Should SE have taken action years ago when the problems with the system became apparent beyond just adding more wards and apartments? I believe they should have. They didn't. We can't change what happened in the past.
You can talk about excuses but the reality is that change can't happen on a whim in the business world when companies are partially reliant on other businesses that have their own needs, obligations and limitations. SE can't walk into an electronics store, buy a server, slap down on a desk, plug it in and immediately fix everything. It takes planning and coordination. It takes time.
What we need to do is focus on convincing SE it is worth the effort to begin that planning and coordination now instead of wasting our time blaming other players for the problems with the system and dreaming up new bandaids that play games with RNG and shuffle around where the problems are instead of solving them.
We need a better supply system. Whether it is improving the instanced housing system so it provides larger apartments or even houses such as other games have used very successfully, moving to an automatic ward expansion system like LotRO uses for its Neighborhoods, or some other system that none of us have thought of but solves the supply problem, SE needs to get to work on changing things for the better for all players instead of just the lucky few.

I would be in favor of larger apartments. As long as I can get the space I need for multiple decent sized rooms, I don't care if it is houses or apartments.I'm not seeing anyone trying to discourage feedback.

No you've got it wrong, those people that do that have multiple homes.
I was in a Housing discord server, pretty much had to mute it and remove my roles because that's exactly how it is. People will brag about having five or six houses on alts and then have the nerve to tell people to "cheer up" and "keep trying". Yes, I understand you worked hard to hoard housing, but the whole "Well *I* had success so... you can too little one!" is annoying.
Actually saw one person say they felt guilty because someone was crying, and begging them for a house, and I quote "They said this was their dream house, but I'm just hoarding houses. This feels bad" and everyone else was saying "don't feel bad". Pretty sure they only reason they told that person not to feel bad, was so that they also don't have to face the guilt of constantly getting houses while knowing other players are having difficulties getting houses.
With that being said, people that sit on placards and emote spam on placards pass the poor personality test. Even though I have a house, I come here and try to advocate for a better system. Because this is ridiculous. We need more housing, END of STORY.
That housing is discord is full of people who love the smell of their own farts. The general mentality of "Forget you I got mine" is all over that place.I was in a Housing discord server, pretty much had to mute it and remove my roles because that's exactly how it is. Hope anyone on a popular server got their house this last lotto we aren't going to be seeing any more for a long time besides making a shell fc and bidding on a small the chances of a med/large are ZERO. Abandoning your fc and server transferring once they open up to roll the dice again.

They probably have a personal vendetta against Ballprince at this point. If they're gonna be this aggressive and inflammatory in their posts, though, they're probably not worth the hassle or stress.
If you want my advice, just ignore them. Although they are doing us "entitled" folks a favor by helping to bump the thread. Though, I still won't acknowledge them until they can conduct themselves appropriately.![]()

To be fair I don't hate nor love the lottery i'm in middle but its a hell of a lot better than bidding against bots and random times that plots will open. Either your full committed to constantly pressing x or clicking mouse or just go with lotter for chance to win and not betting against bot. SE is damned if they do and damned if they dont. No one is satisfied and no one is happy. Honestly in current housing content. I got lucky and won but that took a year. Its no secret there are not enough plots but who knows they added 1800 maybe they will add more. Just keep your ears to the ground and keep watching. No copium boost its just being real you just keep trying till you either win or just plain give up.
You open the door theres nothing in sight. You close the door wondering whats in sight. But lets be honest its probably gonna just let you down.
