Care to show the files that prove it's in pieces as clothing on a custom model and not pieces of the model itself? Or was that claim of it being pieces they glued together into a 1 piece just something you threw out there to try and validate the other things you said previously in this thread?

As for the Viera/Hrothgar headgear. Expectations were set and explained when the races were added. If modifying the entire database of headgear to create entries for 2 new head shapes is such a simple and easy task then feel free to do it yourself. I find it laughable how all you do is fling mud at ppl based on your own assumptions which just makes you look childish.

lol files? You know most people just found out through those forbidden 3rd party programs right? And no lmao, I wasn't even the first person to say it at all; it was in another thread (it was said by another user in my own thread), that is how I found out. Basically on her model, it's in separate pieces. You can look it up on twitter if you'd like, search it up on Lyse's attire model, you will find it. If nothing else, you can also look through one of the forbidden -chan sites, since they also datamine there.

Also, it doesn't matter if they "set expectations", it's been years anyways. Modders have done it, actually :O You can go check the "bad hrothgar hairstyles" thread out when they have used the "it's too hard to make new models fit appropriately" when people have straight called them out on their lies time and time again. But go off and keep protecting a multimillion dollar company lol.

I mean, unpaid modders have already done that, but I'm sure you'll pull a "but its not the same thing as actually adding it to the game!!". Doesn't matter that at release they said they'd have no hats, it's still shameful for a game this big. And yes, Lyse's outfit is separated into pieces originally, you can mix and match her character's clothes using forbidden stuff, you can go check it out yourself anytime.

I saw someone post on reddit a couple days ago where they used certain *ahem* tools to check if it was originally designed as a one piece or not. And the result? It was not. Here's a picture I saved from that thread showing the outfit with a different set of legwear equipped;

From what I recall, it was split into three parts. The Top, which includes the arm, hand, and wrist bits. The legs, which are just the legs like you'd expect. And the shoes, which are a normal foot item.

And just to drive the point home, with forbidden stuff you can also mix and match it on your own model, if you wish. So maybe next time, instead of finding it "laughable how all I do is fling mud at ppl based on my own assumptions", you can zip it, lock it, and put it in your pocket before you go off spouting things you have 0 clue about when you feel the strong need to defend a corporation next time. I promise you, SE doesn't need you to defend their actions. On the other hand, something tells me you'll just plug your fingers in those cat ears going 'lalala' and using any mental gymnastics you can to deflect evidence right in front of your face. Prove me wrong though.

Honestly, knowing that this would get datamined, I kinda don't fault the bait and switch. I admit it's a D-move, but I also know that most players just wanted her hairstyle anyway, and I would've made the onesie an armoire-able 'bonus'.

I probably would've did the same thing, and not even feel bad about it.

It baffles me that they won't go a little bit extra length to make separate pieces when they need to remodel it for every race already AND the 3D meshes aren't visually connected so in theory there wouldn't be some sort of "Oh we need to re-draw the meshes for this piece" when, let's say, making the shoes its own unit.

It feels like they just want to stick to how it is, one piece and undyable, to preserve the NPC's visual - which is kinda sad because otherwise it would make the bundle more desirable and I bet more people would throw money at.

I don't have data on this, but one thing I know for sure: I play the game a lot and it's very rare to see a soul glamouring these undyable onesies.

I see the female Omega set pretty regularly. To be fair, despite its faults and whether I agree with SE's approach to it, it still looks pretty good. The male set is where it was abundantly clear that they stopped caring about how it looked.
