Ocean fishing has been around for years, but I've only started this recently. I am not claiming to be an ocean fishing expert... hell, I'm not even that good a fisher. But I do think I put in some good thoughts about it, and managed to write up a guide for it. Hope this will help anyone who still hasn't gotten the glowing shark mount yet!

When I was picking up Ocean Fishing, I looked up many guides on Reddit, and I had a lot of trouble understanding them. Some even contained conflicting information, which I found confusing. It's probably due to my inexperience and slow learning. But if I have trouble understanding them, I would think some people would feel the same too. Meanwhile, guides that are outside Reddit appeared to be too simple, and just didn't contain critical information about how to make the best use of Spectral Currents. And then there are many good videos on Youtube, but sometimes I just want to have a list of information on hand to read rather than going through a video... Lulu's Tools is great, but without knowing the basics of Ocean Fishing, I didn't know how to use it... So here's my two cents with a simpler guide. I hope it gives the basic information for someone to learn Ocean Fishing from scratch, meanwhile being comprehensive enough to help one achieve 10,000+ points in a single voyage. I have also included some basic information to use Lulu's Tools...
If you find any error in the guide, please kindly let me know so that I can correct them.
Thanks!
EDIT (7th Aug 2022): I had been continuously updating the guide throughout the past 2 months. While I was becoming more experienced, the guide was also becoming more sophisticated. As of today, the guide has evolved into something that can cater both novice and expert fishers. It first introduces the basic concepts to new fishers. It then covers some complex analysis of routes/areas/time frames for rising fishers to achieve maximum point yield per voyage. Then it eventually explains the 5-star fish game and provided some strategies for endgame Ocean Fishers.
Special thanks to the veteran fishers, Tyo'to Tayuun (Tyonto) Fruity Snacks & King Canadane, for sharing their knowledge, inspiration and passion in Ocean Fishing, which contributed to the continuous shaping of this Ocean Fishing guide.
