    The feedback has already been acknowledged and adressed.
    They even delayed two reworks because of the negative response...

    I think they either will return Kaiten and make it be what results in auto-crits which I'd be totally fine with.
    Or there is some other underlying reason they'll talk about.

    One thing I saw being brought up about why DRG for example is getting a rework is that DRG simply can't be added to anymore and it kinda need to be reworked so it can evolve in the future.
    I am not sure how I feel about that but I can at least somewhat see the logic there, and I do think these are very complex issues especially since they like to add new stuff to Jobs every expansion.
    At some point it becomes so much it's hard to add more to it ( and people already complain about too many buttons, keep doing it every expansion too ).

    I am not saying it's a good or bad thing personally I don't have an issue at all with even more buttons and more added to it.
    But it's not a black and white issue and I do think that if you want to evolve the game and keep moving forward then drastic changes are going to happen at some point.
    I think the Kaiten thing may even have been prep for something else in the future and they just misjudged it and made the change way too early.
    I think generally speaking if they're gonna push through big changes it shouldn't happen in increments, it kinda feels shitty to play something stripped down in preparation instead of the completed thing all at once.
    Sorta the same issue with SMN too, I think current SMN has potential to be great but it's unfinished.
    So maybe the SMN rework should simply have been delayed too until it was complete like it'll probably be in the next expansion.

    Either way? No words were said by Yoshi or the Dev's to exactly address any of the feedback from 6.1 SAM changes to SAM specifically

    • Not Tenka Goken AoE changes
    • Not Kaiten Removal affecting Resource Gauge management
    • Not Why they even used the excuse of Button Bloat
    • Not If any of the above were mistranslation? what was it then?
    • Not the Backlash of Samurai posts on the JP forum since 6.1
    • Not What future skills they were going to replace everything with

    As for their new Asinine reasoning? " To address Damage Fluctuations " really?
    • NIN, with the highest singular damage hitting variance skill?
    • BLM, as Nr1 highest fluctuating performing DPS job?
    But we're gonna take this excuse as well? really?.
    I would not settle for Kaiten returning to give us Auto-Crits either no.


    I do not see any acknowledgement of anything 6.1 SAM no, call me a blind. And these changes weren't needed nor improved gameplay of anything, and if they had any future changes, by all means? I would love to hear it -> but apparently its no where to be seen.

    No they did not acknowledge nor address any of the Samurai 6.1 changes nor it's negative feedback from multiple platforms from Twitch, to Youtube, to our Forums here or their JP Forums.

    Yup. My prediction is:

    Crit/CH "adjustments" will be that any buffs/stats that raise rate will raise damage bonus for auto crit/dhs

    Then, any abilities over a certain potency will auto crit/DH (600-800 is my guess)

    I think it’s more likely the core identity I.e cast times = big hits will be addressed first as there was a post I recall about them recognising the impact of job changes on their identity, though this wasn’t specific to SAM in any way.

    I feel like every reason they could have for the awful changes to SAM in 6.1 have been debunked. I'm curious what they could possibly say for themselves that would make me feel at peace with the changes.

    The only thing that they could say to make me believe them would be "We didn't like the idea of bad SAM players losing out on a decent amount of damage just because they miscounted with their Kenki and didn't have enough for Kaiten whenever Midare came up."

    A close second would be them HALVING Kenki generation (at least), doubling potency on attacks that cost Kenki, and claiming that they "wanted to decrease the number of buttons that SAMs press every minute."

    A far third would be "The different between a non Kaiten, Crit, DH Midare and a Kaiten, Crit, DH Midare were too great and we wanted to bring in the damage range possible to fix a lot of the swing related to damage ranges." (Far because they didn't need to fix every portion of it, and I'm not convinced it was even a problem)

    They took out Kaiten to make guage easier to deal with now that its just used for mindless shinten spam, aka easier "Average" player since Sam was considered too busy of a job by Devs....
