Chronicles of a New Era: A Dream in Flight

Hi. I'm new to this game, so reading the patch notes, I want to see what's new, so it says to do the latest chronicle quest, I have to do a previous one called "a dream in flight." However, everytime I google it, google algorithm only pulls up 6.15 patch notes, to which all people promoting their latest ff14 news websites for clicks and money do not go out of their way to provide a link to the quest so I can see how I can begin that quest or why i should be interested. Can anybody please just in the simplest and easiest way possible, tell me how I can begin that quest (even if I have to start a chain quest from somewhere) and what this chronicles of a new era really is? Lol It's a shame I can't find this information on google because of all of the new weblinks now talking about today's news trying to get clicks.

Look for To Kweh under Distant Skies - one of the rewards is an orchestrion roll called A Dream in Flight. Aside from that one item, there is no other thing that references it according to garlandtools.

And looking at the patch notes...that is definitely weird since it does say you need to do that quest, which if it is a quest should appear in garlandtools.

Have you done omega raid (stormblood)?

I haven't done any raids aside from aglaia. This seems like it may be a raid quest line, and if that's the case, then I'll just have to hop-to it! lol

That's the Omega raid questline. Omega raid questline line starts in Rhalgr's Reach. Biggs and Wedge are right near the aetheryte so if you see them with a quest, that's the right one.

Wedge gives it and it's called The Hunt for Omega.

Unfortunately those old omega raids don't pop in DF. I tried queuing as all 3 roles and been sitting in queue for awhile in each. This will be fun..

Could depend on the time of day you are queuing for them. Off-peak hours it will definitely take a longer time for it to pop. During peak times, there is a slightly higher chance they will pop quickly, but also depends on how many people have actually unlocked the fights to do them all on your DC.

I still get the Omega fights somewhat frequently when I do Normal Raid roulette, but Alexander is more often than not what comes up for me, with very sporadic Eden, and even fewer Asphodelos.

It will probably depend on DC and time of day. I just ran NG+'d the series Sunday and yesterday to refresh things for myself. Many were doing the same. It's possible people aren't queueing right now because they're doing the new quests.
