Yeah i’m not sure why my jobs are being brought into it. I just personally find very little jobs fun after all the simplifying and gutting SE has done.Well some combat roles are not for everyone. Up until lv50 I tried to max them all, but I simply don't like playing Mch for example. If I just like one class and don't want to level the others, there would be nothing left for me to do.
It is quantifiable that we're getting less content than we used to. Personally, I still got enough to do, but I can see how some might not.
Have you tried running a dungeon or the deep dungeon for the millionth time, don't worry. You can slog through a zone that takes ages and you feel the burn, or you can wait for the island sanctuary. Which won't be animal crossing or housing and will disappoint everyone. Though you could wait for the new dungeon system to just do the dungeons you already have done but at a harder difficulty. Have you tried the rewardless PVP system? If you get good, they will give you a frame and meaningless currency for your adventure plate no one cares about? Though you could do savage for months to get the dyeable version of gear you already earned.Everytime someone has brought up a lack of content in EW or low quality content people have brought up how we're getting the Tataru quests and the Omega quests. So, i gave the benefit of the doubt and said okay maybe this will be fully fleshed out long lasting quests. I guess i was wrong. Completed both in about an hour and a half…. So, where exactly is all this new long lasting content? We still have to wait until what, July or August for 6.2?
There is crafting, but most of the gear looks the same, and you buy it for no effort. How about those dailies. Oh, there's the gold saucer where you play mini-games in the game rather than playing the actual game.
I also forgot housing, better start making that FC but everyone left after the logically inconsistent and deflating ending of the ten-year ark known as Endwalker so good luck.
I guess if you wanted the real end game, long-lasting grind, you could just do the shared fate and slog through poorly designed zones to get your aether currents. Most people won't be bothered to farm two years on or would instead buy the story boost. Kinda makes you miss the BFA world quests which took 20 seconds.

what people who bring up "just do older content" don't understand is that stuff like bozja and eureka literally neuter your kit down to level 70 and 80 kits. with no way to use you know THE SKILLS YOU'VE UNLOCKED UP TO LEVEL CAP why should i be forced to delevel myself to play content? if i want level 90 content why is that a bad thing? you know when people bring up end game you know "END"game they want level 90 content not sit here and play with potentially a less fleshed out or weaker kit to go do eureka or bozja.
"why not try housing?" hahahaha good joke even apartments are so little you can basically fully decorate it in like an hour if you really cared. and the decoration system si still so god damn unintuitive it's not even funny we still have to use glitches to get objects to do what they should anyways
"why not try RP". people play games to you know play games. if they wanted to RP they'd be better off playing D&D with an online group which surprise surprise won't cost them 15$ a month
stop sitting here and excusing there being almost no level 90 content for 8 ducking months even just relic quest would be long enough to keep people here for a few months with how long those can take
Have you created a spreadsheet which catalogues every single pixel on every map, with a short but unique poem written next to each one?
If not, how can you possibly say you've run out of content? /s
Did you do all the chocobo races? Did all the content you have no interest in? Read every NPC across the map? Do you know every strategy of lord verminion? Did you do every achievement in the game? Did you count how many clouds are in the sky?
So you have a lot of content ahead of you.
To save the OP the trouble: It is like this all the time in this game since the vision is basically a single player MMO RPG hero story followed by traditional end game activities. The actual grind content doesn't come online until around 6.2 with the relic weapon and right now we got the beast tribes coming in this patch.
Also, since they slowed down the patch cycles that means even more downtime between content updates. Going from 3 to 4 months was going to impact a lot of things. Don't forget that the time is compounded as we move along, so while going to 4 months doesn't sound bad at first, it means that the .2 patch is actually 2 months later than it was originally, the .3 patch is 3 months later, etc. This isn't including patches that come between major patches, like 6.15. The good news is that the mid patches don't seem to follow the same rules.
What sort of long lasting content does the op want to see? I've never minded the lull in content between patches myself so I don't have anything I would personally add, but for people with this complaint I've always wondered what they want.
oh idk everything that comes out by the END of the expansion maybe? no reason to spread out patches for content when you can get it all done at once and spend months on balancing the jobs, content, releasing new cosmetic things, smaller content like beast quests, hard versions of dungeons, etc... if we consolidate each patch into just working on the next expansion and some slight adjustments to the current expansion thats TWENTY months now and was FIFTEEN months before. time gating stuff like savage tiers sure thats understandable but holding something as simple as a relic weapon questline/grind for 8 months? really?

Took the devs over two years to develop and finalize EW. Players ate it up in a week.
So yeah... you don't have to play FFXIV. You can go play other stuff.
hmm yes ~40 hours of MSQ content even playing 3 hours a day thats only like 2 weeks of content and players are able to clear EXs and raids faster and faster due to their simplicity and only having very few "roadblocks" like zodiarks star fall mechanic or endsingers reversal mechanic. if it wasn't for P3s and P4s stumping players we'd prolly be done with savage raiding for majority of players by like 2 months after release of it.
