They are having this issue in ffxi too. Idk why they dont just get rid of the lvling system completely. As they are doing it right now most players will burn from 1-40 and go from 40-50 in a couple hrs anyway. The concept of lvls is out dated which is itself a sad thing. I know I will get flamed for it but I enjoyed the ffxi grind. I made friends, I killed some time and most importantly I LEARNED the mechanics of and how to play a job to its fullest potential. Then by the time I got to endgame I could go in and quickly find my nook in the pt.

But that was 2002-2010. Post 2010 we need something new for all those ppl who want to piss and moan about actually having to progress and not being insta-gods. idk what it could be, but it needs to be something, cause the playerbase it seems is getting lazier and ever more demanding.

My roomie for instance stopped playing the game cause he only has one 50 and a couple 40+ jobs. He wanted to get a few that are low to 50 but he would /sh and /sh and /sh again, he would check the search functions again and again, he would use recruit and so on and he would find 1, maybe 2 ppl who would want to pt at lvl 20 or 30. So he basically has given up on the game and hasnt logged in, in well over a month cause the only way he can lvl is if I take time out of my day to burn him, which he doesnt want to do cause he wont learn how to tank properly, or properly utilize his ja or magics. Leves are one thing but you cant learn party dynamics via soloing leves. And if he doesnt know his job, he wont endgame cause unlike some, he doesnt wanna make a fool outta himself.
