What is fun about leveling a character 1-cap in one weeks time or less. It completely makes all game content useless until endgame or max level. If 60% of mmo players usually say that lvling is to slow and ffxiv only has 14% saying that I think there is something wrong with that picture considering other mmo's are successful and ffxiv isnt.
Blame the people which bitched about the "slow" progress when it took like a Month+ to get 1 Class up to 50. People were bitching that it is too hard, now deal with the fact that SE listened to the customers.
