    Leveling is way to fast...

I honestly don't understand how anyone in their right minds can say that leveling is just right.. This is by far the easiest mmo to level in.. What is fun about leveling a character 1-cap in one weeks time or less. It completely makes all game content useless until endgame or max level. I really hope leveling is changed in v2.0 Im not saying it has to be ffxi which that is what I want but at least make it a happy medium lol. If 60% of mmo players usually say that lvling is to slow and ffxiv only has 14% saying that I think there is something wrong with that picture considering other mmo's are successful and ffxiv isnt.

    Good reasons for leveling fast:
    1. You can play with your friends sooner if they are cap level.
    2. You can do endgame content sooner.
    3. help me because I cant think of any more

Bad reasons for leveling too fast:
    1. Absolutely kills economy (makes any gear pre 50 pointless)
    2. It seems like 1/2 the players still suck at their jobs.
    3. Many people have no other jobs left to level.
    4. The "newer" players have less people to level with.
    5. It dumbs down endgame content because everyone has every job therefor just making it easier.
    6. No sense of accomplishment whatsoever
    7. makes all content pre 50 worthless
    8. People can hit lvl 50 before they even learn the game.

Im sure there is more reasons on both the good and bad, and if so you are welcome to add them but honestly I just think the fast pace leveling is one of the major things that is ruining this game

If levelling is fast, it means dev's spend less time on content that becomes obsolete quickly.
Meaning they can spend more time on EndGame content, I'd be all for it.

I'd prefer to see a long line of story quests that quickly show you thought the game to about Lv40, then a massive content and story boom, with a monumental level of content and all content at that level scaling to the players.
So all Lv40+ content is still viable at 50+ so it stays active much longer then a L25 dungeon that people just farm with Lv50's.

As I said before, this is a new generation of MMO gamers who want everything asap, so it's just right for those people, but luckily he will also take into consideration the fact there's still a decent amount who didn't agree with the current speed.

I think XIV's angle is in equipment. While leveling is easy, getting maxed gear isn't.

And content such as garuda proves that level 50 is a given, but the equipment requirements aren't.

Leveling isn't fast based on the amount of content currently in the game - there's no content, so there's no point in leveling taking a long time.

Yoshi has said it's going to be slowed down in the latest LTTP, so hopefully it has content along with it to match it.

You all say levelling is fast, I remember a painfully excruciating journey to L50 on my Lancer that the only thing that made me reach that level was the main quest 50% XP bonuses otherwise i'd never get there.
I remember just right now levelling my goddamn Gladiator how I keep getting distracted by everything else because it's just painful.

I disagree with you, OP. It is in fact just right.

I was really, really disappointed to hear that. I was looking forward to the day when the r25-35 NM drops would be worth having, and become a milestone in which "Hey, I'm optimally geared for my level! Time to do this slew of rank 25-40 content, develop my class, and advance the plot!" As the game currently stands, there's little to no sense of progression, and I was hoping 2.0 would solve that

Blame the people which bitched about the "slow" progress when it took like a Month+ to get 1 Class up to 50. People were bitching that it is too hard, now deal with the fact that SE listened to the customers.
