    Weird that anyone parsing worth a damn generally decried the changes for being awkward and dull and noted then what SAMs have noted more recently -- that guaranteed Crits only make high parses all the more difficult, since it essentially siphons their portion of contribution towards the performance ceiling (all a parse-pusher would care about) to the performance floor. One literally cannot, in balance, parse as high on a good run as they used to.

    The most typical requests by anyone who actually played the job regularly were for faintly higher tuning and a quicker wind-up (more for dungeons than for raids) and/or slightly better raid sync (though much of that overlapped with said raid buffs).

    Just as not every Job should be braindead easy, not every Job should be "compelling or complex", either. SOME Jobs SHOULD be braindead easy. And no Job says that more than "unga bunga" Berserker WAR.

    I know you mean well, but the problem with visits from the Good Idea Faerie is that they end up leading to nasty things like homogenization and the great healer kit gutting of 5.0. Imagine a world in which WHM had been left as "the braindead easy one" and the other healers had not lost their DPS kits in the exchange?

    It's fine that there are a FEW Jobs that are easy and aren't "compelling" or "complex". Not everyone wants to play something "complex", and not everyone finds that compelling, nor finds "compelling" good in the first place.

    ...again, I know you mean well, but if you want to play a "compelling" and complex tank, might I suggest DRK or maybe GNB? They also lead the damage charts (when played well), leading to a higher skill ceiling and skill is reflected in enhanced damage, if that kind of thing is important/enjoyable to you.

    The only thing I could see happening is it changed to just damage or something instead of Crit/DH so that other party buffs also buff those abilities, but I'm not even sure that's too likely. And it's still better today (I think?) than ShB's was.

    I can't work out what you're saying here. On the first paragraph you're saying that there needs to be a braindead job for some reason or other and on the second you're saying that this is bad when it's white mage.

    Warrior was the complex one, it should return to being so and they can put the new directionless tank into the "just hit buttons lol" position that it currently occupies. This can easily be achieved by jettisoning the two dots which seem to only exist solely to add more buttons to press under no mercy. None of gunbreaker's kit interacts with itself in any meaningful way unless you really want to count the continuation proc. At least warrior can count to 10, GNB's gauge only goes up to 3.

    It's not enjoyable to me. I do not like the feel of either. I want something that feels like level 50 warrior but as a level 90 job. Not something where the burst is "remember that gauge you have? yeah ignore it"

    It's worse than ShB WAR. A feat in of itself.
