Well IMO any MMO that tries to "Kill/Be Better" than Wow is doomed to fail. Cause Wow doesm1 thing that most other MMos don't. They constantly release Expansions. EQOA died cause it stopped, Final Fantasy 11 stopped after WotG (dont really count Abyssea cause they said it was a minor one). Cause who wants to play a game with an Ending? The the whole reason why i play mmo they last a whole lot longer than current video games that most you can beat in a day. I bet if 11 kept up with Expansion that most people would still be playing that than 14. ( And if Abyssea never happened and put 11 in Easy Mode.)

This!! This is exactly why I quit FFXI...I got bored with reskinned zones and no real expansions I hope FFXIV has lots of expansions. ^^ Whenever an expansion is released too I noticed a loooot of my friends coming back to check it out (And most of them stayed for a long , long time)

Dungeon finder isn't even in the game yet, you have no idea how it works. I will be SORELY disappointed if it's like WoW's in any way other than finding people who want to do the same stuff as you.

As for "guild system"(?) the way Linkshells work in this game is watered down, crappy version of the way they worked in FFXI, and have no where NEAR the same amenities as guilds in WoW.

Is goign to be the same as WoW you log in and set yourself as healer,DD,tank,buff and you be random put in a party with people in any world for stuff like ifrit and dungeons.

Free company:
Free company going to be like WoW where you can give each member a rank that you like "Leader,Sub-leader,Member,trial and set limit on each person to what they can do and not do in the free company. They would also be building where you can hang out with your free company and you can switch over to craft and build stuff like tables and other stuff. They also be a airship that can take your free company to areas you unlock to do endgame. He also said you need 4+ people to sign so you can build your own free company.

Free company would be for endgame and Linkshell system is more for social he also said you only allow to have 1 free company but you allow to how as many linkshell you want. You can also unlock a primal to fight with you if your company was the first to kill him within the 1week reset you have 1 week to use the primal you unlock and you need more then 1 person to summon him in battle. When a primal is summon the everyone in your world would know you did it the world would turn dark and if it ifrit it would turn red "I'm hoping ash would fall from the sky i think that be pretty cool"

all this would be release in 2.0 there a few things that are not 100% like he said something about a point system like a ingame dkp system for your members guild bank which i think would be release anyways because it only make sense. Also the leader is allow to control who be allow to use the primal you unlock which most endgame leaders going to set it as only leader can.

Maybe i forgot to say this would be release for 2.0 so maybe that why you thought i was crazy lol.

not sure how that is anything like WoWs guild system aside from assigning ranks which is common in almost every MMO available
