No trailer at E3 LOL @ SE

If I worked at SE and read most of these posts, I would be banging my head against a wall so hard. I mean REALLY people. I understand that kids these days are so caught up by instant gratification, and the need to be heard, but can we please learn some reading comprehension and a little bit of patience?

The patience thing will never be a good argument considering we're now nearing two years of being patient. If anything, I'd say we're more patient than most MMO players out there.

I'm hoping it's because they're trying to get a direct response from Yoshida. Either way, they need to be very careful about how they're going to respond to this. It will be interesting to see exactly how they'll handle it.

Sorry to interrupt as everyone is obviously enjoying the battle, but considering SE is attempting the never before accomplished feat of rebooting an mmo that was never taken offline. Wouldn't a small demo be worth more than a whole Advent Children worth of CGI? As I said earlier, nobody is questioning the CGI (Except maybe the lack) of FFXIV. They are questioning the gameplay and can FFXIV deliver on the promises it's been making for the last 2 years.

I would think people who have been playing this game would understand that more than anyone. As anyone who watched the KARA demo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0KTUysrwgQ will tell you, if something is truly awesome then it will make news on its own.

My problem is, why didn't they tell us first? Why didn't yoshi come out and say, "sorry guys, but because of x we couldn't do the trailer for E3. Though, don't let that break your hearts~ We will have info about 2.0 at E3 and after E3 with the launch of our new website. There will be a special trailer waiting for you all!"

I have a change of heart about this. I re-read the letter and this:

"Well, the public release of new info regarding version 2.0 is set to kickoff with this year’s E3 in Los Angeles. We also plan to unveil a brand new promotion site for version 2.0 soon after E3 ends."

FFXIV will be represented. I think we are all in for a big surprise in the next letter, prolly to come right before or during E3.

There, thats what I was waiting for. Somone gets it. "If something is truly awesome then it will make news on its own." This is what SE, Yoshi, and the Dev team understand. Rushing to make a fool of yourself at a highly publicized event is truly ignorant. Honestly, If yoshi can keep the bunches of cry babbies on this forum playing this long, I certainly trust he will make xiv a sucess
