e3 starts today, why should they give us any info on it today ahead of time when they are going to give info for it to us over the next few days?http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/46936
The latest letter is out but still no mention of E3. Sure sounds like XIV and 2.0 will be keeping a low profile at E3. I don't expect anything more than interviews, not even artwork.

Not 2.0 Info but if it was such a big deal they would tell us to follow them or keep an eye open for 2.0 at E3. But again they just sound like it's not a big deal so im not expecting much out of their interview... hope im wrong tho'
While I am not expect much at e3, they did write this in the letterhttp://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/46936

But we all know SE's idea on the word "soon" hahaWe’ll soon be releasing screenshots and videos showcasing the new graphics engine, which will be optimized to support both high- and low-end PCs. I trust you won’t be disappointed with that, nor the PS3 version.
SE cant put it on E3 because the game still sucks, I played CB OB and after release and came back a few days ago. The game is just as bad as it was then except theres some more end game content. But that doesn't matter if you must murder your self to get up there.
Are you sure you're playing the same FFXIV we are? Battle system revamp, Crafting revamp, Pretty much an AH?
The battle system is still awful. Auto attacking for an amount of damage that actually doesn't make a difference and trying to encourage casters for example to get up close and hit them with staff.?? AH? Its more of a sluggish search menu, there isn't a proper interface and it feels messy. I just came out after trying some lvl 13 main quest in gridania where I had to ward somethin yet it wouldn't use the wards. The game is just too mesy, its awful. + when you cast a spell you must stop to finish the castin, but if you move the cast bar continues which makes you think the spell will go through? Like wtf?
The only people who will enjoy this game atm is people with extremely low standards.
yea, i was shocked a lil aswell.
i mean E3 is the best way to show new & old players what's to come in the future, and let's be honest, SE sucks at advertising their games otherwise.
i'm not pissed at not seeing a trailer at E3, i'm rather confused why SE let's such a great chance slip outta their hands, that PR guy that had the idea to actually not show FFXIV 2.0 at the biggest gaming expo must be fired immediately
OK let me boggle your mind..........yea, i was shocked a lil aswell.

CGI trailers are not everything, how many times do you see a trailer that says "not actual ingame footage" and looks awesome, then you play the game and it sucks (hmm FFXIV 1.0 seems familiar with that I don't know why) but if they release gameplay, perhaps have a concept version on the show floor as well, people will know what gameplay looks like.
That is worth more than 5 million CGI trailers.
TRAILERS ARE NOT EVERYTHING.
Seriously, because NO ONE has been able to do this yet, show me where they say FFXIV will NOT be at E3, because I get these from the letter:
The ONLY thing that is said will not be at E3 is the trailer (which will be CGI and NOT ingame footage like all trailers ever released.)Well, the public release of version 2.0 is set to kickoff with this year’s E3 in Los Angeles. We also plan to unveil a brand new promotion site for version 2.0 soon after E3 ends.

I don't think it's a PR guy but more of a senior manager that took this decision... the PR thing is just for public statement. I keep thinking how could they miss such a chance? And the only logical answer would be that the trailer probably sucked ass and if they would have used it to promote 2.0 it would have left pple with a bitter taste in mouth.yea, i was shocked a lil aswell.

Probably had too much 1.0 content as Yoshi-p warned us and it would have made it look as nothing changed for 2.0
