Yeeeeah unlikely. These things aren't normally dealt with in hours, more like days. And if the character needs a rollback to restore gil/items then you are looking at likely weeks if not months.
Ok let's assume your better half has reported their account as compromised. Here is what happens next. When support gets your report it will directly suspend your account login. They will contact the account holder via email to inform them they have done so. They will request more information to verify proof of owning the account. Once this is cleared up, you can fix your passwords anew and log in.
You'll notice all your gil is gone. You'll also notice that the FC's gil will be gone as well since they were "leader" of the FC and the compromised account. You may even see that the scammers deposited the personal gil taken from your personal stash, into the company chest and removed it all in one lump sum. (FC gil and personal gil) probably leaving a zero balance.
Support will get your account back, but it usually takes up to 10 days to rollback your account to reimburse your personal gil lost. Not much you can do but wait until that happens. Remember any added loot, gil or items you obtain while waiting for the rollback will be gone once the rollback happens. The FC will not get any lost gil back usually. Since it was the leader getting scammed, I'm not sure what arguments Support has for not returning the FC's gil. If it was an officer with access to FC funds then you definitely would not see 1 gil of that return to the FC.
Lastly I want to point out that the person that sends you these tells are on a poor scammed victims account sending out mass tells. They are victims just like your husband is now and probably sent out mass tells with his character when they had control of it. Just so others know, never follow a link from strangers. If it looks phishy it probably is.
Good luck and hope it all works out for you.

Thank you so much for this information and for everyone who has been supportive and helpful. We're both obviously upset, mostly at ourselves. Still waiting on a GM and literally holding our breath hoping our FC house comes out intact.Ok let's assume your better half has reported their account as compromised. Here is what happens next. Thank you again, if this thread doesn't get moved / locked, I'll be sure to update it for other people to hopefully help them. We're still not over it though.
