That would be rather stupid, perhaps after all this Yoshi-P will make a small edit to his next letter to clarify, but I will believe he will not be showing anything when he says FFXIV WILL NOT BE AT E3, I WILL BE DOING NOTHING BUT INTERVIEWS, he only said there will be no trailer, which people couldn't care less about anyway, could he just be doing what the community wants /gobsmacked.

Again, Yoshida said there will be multiple movies, not one trailer. (UNLESS. It's a translation mistake, as Japanese nouns don't have plural) So even if they don't show that trailer, nothing stops them from showing everything else.

But why the hell would they do that when he specifically states that:

If all they're holding back is ONE trailer, that's hardly a "flood of new material". If they were to release some stuff at e3 and a trailer later, that would be "just a trickle".

Its clear as crystal actually to me, Yes there's a great chance that there will be little to no FFXIV 2.0 @ E3. BUT they are Targetinig new players If you read that part getting New players to know about this game.

Yeah well they're doing it wrong in that case because the new players check out E3, not the lodestone or the forums.

No lol, as I said I have no interest in CGI footage, the way the producer letter reads to me and maybe (just maybe) I have jumped to the wrong conclusion is that SE won't be showing much at all at E3, I guess we will have to see in a week or so.

What I am disappointed about is that they led us to believe otherwise and have since changed there mind, sure shit happens ... are you saying I am not allowed to voice my opinions ? or is that considered whining ?

Instead of Showing the FFXIV 2.0 Trailer ( which is obviously the 2.0 CGI Movie), They are showing New players the current version, and how its going on the road to 2.0 (but only show 1.0 stuff).

lmao man you just totally dont see it, how would showing new players 1.0 do anything, its fucked and would be stupid to show, maybe if you show 1.23 stuff, but any current stuff? oh god please dont turn more people away...

The new players will be when they do this trailer but the trailer wont show much so they want to release more, that shows new players stuff. And ofc they want this "website" that they think new players will have all the time in the world to read and wont be playing other games.

If a translator decides to clear this up I'd be happy, until then I'm expecting absolutely nothing out of E3, which in my humble opinion would be a massive mistake.

New Roadmap shows the Promotional Campaign beginning in Aug. This is probably when we will start seeing the "flood of Information" he was talking about.

Seems like only you and me are the only ones that understand the meaning behind the letter :/. Keep forgetting theirs more trolls than white knights ( if you wanna call us that anyhow) I'm just speaking my mind on how I see the letter lol.

Just for the record I AM DISAPPOINTED THAT THE TRAILER ISN'T COMING AT E3!! But I also understand why they revoked it too till August. People just only look at 1 side of the coin when there's 2 sides to every coin. :/
