Yet its a hype as shit trailer and eventually sold me on trying out the beta... So obviously it worked.

Capcom released a trailer for RE6 ages ago and many more since, its called great advertising strategy, something SE have never been good at.

Even FF13-2's adversing was pretty lacking until the last few months.

I ain't saying any thing one way or the other. I was looking forward to something snazzy that i could show off to my friends as well. I doubt you could find any one on these forums that did not have that sinking feeling when they read that bit in the letter. We are all hungry for info here.

I just see the game there playing here. A gout of information led off with the trailer with the start of the 2.0 roll that is right around the corner.

Not showing a trailer at E3


Trailer = trickle. Instead they are taking a different approach to E3.

Now according to the road map they have "2.0 Marketing Campaign (Including Trailer Release)" listed in August.

It is heavily suggested there will be content at E3 followed by the website with information and then the trailer will be shown later in august along with more information coming out regularly and consistently.

Thank god for someone who can read This thread reminds me of the 1.18 patch when 90% of the ppl was saying we could not recover mp when standing still combat cause they cant read =/

Yes it did then, before it got all the bad press, everyone knew it had failed, right now mentioning FFXIV gives the reply "I can't believe you are playing that failure" what SE need to do is turn that bad press around and a trailer will NOT do that, all it would do is make games sites say "SE released a trailer for FFXIV at E3 today, while the trailer looked very good, I do not think it will do anything to recover the game". However if they show gameplay sites will say "Some FFXIV 2.0 gameplay videos were released at E3 today, we found them to look very good, this may just rescue FFXIV, we will keep you all posted."

The formor is not hype, it is a "oh look those failtards are trying to relaunch thier epic fail again" the latter is hype, its saying "Wow it looks like they could turn this around, we need to keep up to date on it."
