EW spoilers in triple triad open tournament

It's probably too late to change it (or if it isn't, I'm not sure what the fix would be), but I noticed just how many big ol' spoiler characters are in the open tournament cards. Obviously, Endwalker has been out for a while now, but some of the big hitters and reveals are just right there in random cards you can get. Even on my alt, I'm getting characters and bosses that I haven't even reached yet.

I'm just thinking about some of my friends who are finishing up Shadowbringers for the first time and they're all excited and theorizing, but seeing some of those cards really takes the punch out of it.

It's definitely something I'd like to see considered changing!

Dunno if maybe I’m reading how you wrote this wrong, but really there’s no reason to be sarcastically rude about it. It’s definitely a valid suggestion when they show you certain extras in cutscenes, like a notable one in 6.1 if you’ve done specific questlines. Or even a few cutscenes in 6.0, you won’t see some characters if you haven’t done the appropriate raids.

They could just blank out the card images and only show their silouettes and name it something generic, kinda like how they did the AI characters in Dissidia.
"Nameless Sorceror" "Nameless Beast" blah blah blah. Then just have the cards be revealed if you have certain achievements unlocked.

Not a bad idea to have the name blanked out or done a la Dissidia. Could just have it turn into "???" with a generic background so all spoiler cards would look the same, just have different numbers.

Could even have a checkbox in the options/on the actual game board while playing to enable/disable spoilers.

Alternatively, they could just say Triple Triad is side content that assumes you are aware of the events in the MSQ up to current. I'd lean more this way as that can be done game wide and allows the devs to not have to tiptoe around.

As in, assume one day they make an Ultima Thule PVP stage- there's really no way for that to be spoiler-free. Even some current PvP somewhat spoils Alexander.

Anyway, tl;dr: It's not a bad idea, but I think it might be better to just blanket-statement that all side activities assume you are "current".
