    Random crash to desktop no errors

    I have been having an issue with this game just crashing to desktop with no errors for almost 5 months now. I tried EVERY solution I could find online and nothing worked by any stretch of the imagination. It got to the point I formatted my computer and started over from scratch. For about a week the game worked with only one or two crashes the whole week. So I thought I was golden.

    Then today after entering Ultima Thule it either crashes after the world loads or it crashes while still on the loading screen. It's to the point the game doesn't load far enough for me to get out of the zone. If anyone could offer some advice I would greatly appreciate it.

Please provide a system report from the game by going to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'     Is this issue happening on the Windows version or Steam version of Final Fantasy XIV? Additionally, is the game installed on the C drive or a secondary drive? If on a secondary drive, can you try installing Final Fantasy XIV on the C drive?

    It is the steam version, it is on a secondary drive as are all of my other games. The last time it was on the C drive the game itself would not load, it would CTD before getting to the main menu screen.

    I wouldnt hold your breath till the next major patch. Your far from the only person with similar issues and almost every thread turns out the same. Game just seems to be almost completely broken for some people. Ive done 15 full uninstalls to reinstalls, used the "fix game" button more times then I remember, and even did a full nuking of my PC to factory default and it still starts crashing. Ive even had it start crashing to desktop with no reports only 7 min after it JUST finished doing a full reinstall of the game with it running on FAR lower specs then what my PC should be able to handle. Heres hoping its fixed with 6.2. Elsewise I guess its just time to move on.

    I've done multiple wipes/reinstalls on both the internal and external HDs. The sad thing is I would love to move on but I have encountered another problem with infinite loading screens on the quest Bountiful Ruins. I can't advance the quest due to the game getting stuck in an infinite loading screen OR it CTD. Getting hard to justify paying for a game I can't play

    Ive had errors since 6.1 dropped bare in mind ive never ever had any issues before with any content but im still yet to get any resolution from any actual support from SE on here, apart from the normal "did you uninstall and reinstall yada yada stuff". I had to resort to watching certain cutscenes on my PS4 just to get through the 6.1 MSQ to be able to swap back to playing on PC. It works but i shouldnt have to have 2 different installs to play an update patch. I hope your able to find a fix soon, ive been waiting 2 months lol
