    BiS includes Savage gear it's a mix of both, and you need the upgrade thingies for the Tomestone gear too.

    If you're gonna ask what the point of BiS is well, what's the point of any endgame raid content in any MMO lol.
    I personally enjoy the fights a lot and I re-clear them again throughout the week for fun and to help people who haven't yet.

    Honestly, bob, there isn't really a point. I don't find it difficult anymore, especially this joke of a tier, and like you say; it just makes you better at doing the thing you're already capable of doing. wowiezowie.

    Raiding is a social experience to do difficult content with people you enjoy playing with.

    Has been since the early days of MMOs. Making your character stronger is usually a bonus next to that.

    Gear is pretty pointless in this game though, so it takes the former to a whole new level. If the social aspect doesn't interest you, there is no point in doing savage other than bragging rights.

    The savage stuff is mainly only there for the Min-max tryhards that want to have bragging rights for the tier. Some parts have different stats allocated to them so not all item level 600 gear parts are the same

    I've been doing savage since 2013 and I've never been a try hard or min-maxer. I've been in casual groups that never clear in the first month, let alone week 1.
