So far SE has not allowed market boards inside houses which is prolly them making sure people would still interract in towns. And that is why some NPC's have become mini markets (such as the dye seller) but they are selling limited to starting gear which is sad and useless beyond lvl 15.
Still because of this many people do not see the need to visit their house constantly, same goes for FC members. I think there are still methods to keep going to town markets interesting while making a few adjustments:
Right now if you google the permits it sais this:
※Private chambers (apartments), cottages, houses, and mansions can host 4, 6, 8, and 10 vendors, respectively:
4 vendor slots in rooms/apartments
6 vendor slots in small houses
8 vendor slots in medium houses
10 vendor slots in large houses
My suggestion is separating NPC's in 3 types, each requiring a different amount of NPC slots:
Regular vendor/NPC (low ilvl items) - 1 vendor/NPC slot
Veteran vendor/NPC (medium ilvl items) - 2 vendor/NPC slots
Elite vendor/NPC (high ilvl items) - 3 vendor/NPC slots
The npc's would basically perform the same function they have now but be "improved" based on which type of NPC you placed (regular - veteran - elite):
Mender | Regular = Normal repair cost | Veteran = 25% cheaper repair cost | Elite = 50% Cheaper repair cost
Material supplier | Regular = low ilvl materials | Veteran = Medium ilvl materials | high ilvl materials
Junkmonger | Regular = low gain for sold items + dyes | Veteran = items sell at 10% more + sell more dyes | Elite = items sell at 25% more + sell most dyes.
Materia melder | Regular = Normal melding | Veteran 10% more succes at melding | elite 25% more succes at melding.
and so on... I believe this would make being around a house more interesting without completely shutting off town/market visits. And it may persuade people part of an FC to stick around the house a little more often due to finding basic things more easily.
Sure this would cause a little less people in towns but lets face it.... is it really considered social if the area is empty and everyone else is in front of the market crafting & ignoring you?
I think we need to think about "in between" methods so more people get what they expect to get from the game. We are all subbing so not just 1 opinion should matter, everyone should be heard even if SE decides to nothing with it... at least we were able to share. Have a nice day everyone! ♥
