It is abundantly clear at this point that FCs must leave Wards 19-24 to make room for personal player homes. SE has made it clear they have no intention of changing the FC/Personal ward split anytime soon so it is up to players to step up and fix this housing crisis.

There are PLENTY of open FC plots in FC wards which is where FCs belong. It is not fair that a grandfathered FCs can take a plot meant for a player. Sure it wasn't against the ToS when they bought the plot, but they are taking up precious space when they have alternatives - a luxury private players do not have.

By staying in a PERSONAL ward you are denying housing to other players AND allowing an RMT shell FC to take a spot during the next lottery. I don't know which is worse.

If players can't step up and do the right thing then I propose that SE gives these noncompliant FCs a 30 day warning to get their homes in FC wards. If they do not want to comply then give them a full gil refund of their plot.

An FC having a house you want is not their problem to solve for you or anyone else. Why should they move if they like their spot, many FC's have their members move to spots surrounding the house.

This is just yet another salty thread wanting to take things away from other people for your own gain, when you should be whining to SE to fix their horrendous supply issue. I find it laughable that housing is an advertised feature of this game and yet it is so exclusive.



This is an image I seen when I was brand new looking at the game and housing was a HUGE draw. And the anxiety and stress I went through to get my first house was ridiculous. They should remove it as an advertised feature until it is guaranteed you can access your own HOME, not a little apartment.

If they were going to implement this new FC only solo only zone. They should have had enough wards to move houses. It is just another poor choice, which creates anger and resentment, ie this thread.

so, player A buys a large house 6 years ago in ward 21. Then forms an FC and decides to use the house as an FC house because they like teh ward and the location.

I can see that going over well. certainly guaranteed to upset the maximum number of people.

Only if Personal Houses are forced to leave Wards 1 - 19. ((Note: I disagree with the full premise of you statement, because it is not equal. 1 FC house can easily be housing for many players and not just one person.

What about the other four housing areas? There definitely aren't "plenty" of open FC plots there.

People shouldn't have to be forcibly moved because of rules that didn't even exist at the time.

This solves nothing, housing will still be an issue even if they did this.

They have already said they would review the ward restrictions (I think they mentioned 6.2 but they really need to do it sooner). Wards need a good mix of private and FC owners anyway.

For any future wards they add, it would be better to split the plots 50-50 in each ward, and have the subdivisions alternate which plots are which; so an FC-only plot in the main division is a private plot in the subdivision and vice versa.

Maybe also some sort of rule where if a property makes it through 3 lotteries without selling (only going to happen with FC ones really), for all subsequent lotteries it becomes open to FCs and private buyers. Short of adding more wards it clearly won't meet the demand for private houses, but it would help a few more people find a home and prevent plots from sitting empty.
