All the mechanics that give you a debuff where your character moves in another direction than the one you press. I hate them and can never do them properly. I also absolutely hate the last boss of the newest dungeon (the one in the treasure vault of Thavnair). I'll never do expert roulette until it's gone from it.
Tethers. The game cannot correctly identify when they're being passed. Players have to adopt strategies to suit the server.

Sobriety. It's the reason we don't have Pirate as a Job choice in game... >.>
I hate the misdirection debuff with a passion (arrow over your head showing which way you'll walk). Personally what I do is tap the analog stick up until I'm going in the right direction then I hold it. Instead of trying to get it going in the right direction by timing it correctly (and ultimately missing it and needing to wait for it to come around again). Another thing that helps is if you realize the misdirection debuff normally ends before you need to be in specific safe-zones, so as long as you get close-ish you can typically move normally the last inch or so to be safe. All the mechanics that give you a debuff where your character moves in another direction than the one you press. As for the last boss of the most recent dungeon, I feel like that's a much better way of handling strange movement personally. It took a bit to get used to it, but it's actually a lot more interesting than the spinning hand debuff.
My most hated mechanic?
People who purposefully troll in fights.
This one is beyond your help. Only sleep can save her now.
The walk of shame when you lose the house bid.
