Positionals for melee
Those map translation mechanics on Zodiark - they're cool but I can't process that kind of visualization quickly so I don't even bother to try and don't run it outside friend groups with callouts![]()

Maybe this one is petty, but literally any mechanic that requires me to read a cast bar as the only info. (so yeah, most of them)
I'm legit sick of this game being played by mostly hud elements.
Other people. All mechanics outside of Savage/Ultimate(since I don't do either of those) are easy to do...until it requires another person to complete. I never trust other people to actually help with any mechanics, or to actually leave something as it is after someone who has cleared the content sets it to not kill us(clock meteors in Rhidorana, the puddles in Dun Scaith, etc).

Anything that either doesn't telegraph, establish any kind of marker, or does one of those .5 second telegraphs. We're all trained to use our eyes to detect/interact with what is marked in the boss chamber's floor or what is displayed above our heads for THE ENTIRE MSQ. If we can not see it, we have no idea how to react and then we eat the floor.
talking about you, Alphascape 3.0. Tanks spinning that boss are bad enough because I'll even look at the cast bar and STILL get it wrong more than half have the time because I didn't realize I was staring at the boss's ass instead of his face. Fuck that raid.

Any mechanic that requires me to read the cast bar. I don't mind the cast bar being there but I'd like for another visual/audible tell for every cast bar that matters.
Also tank swaps. This is probably the single biggest reason I've avoided Extremes and Savages for so long. I cannot stand them.
I both hate it and love it, but when you need to observe the boss's character model to determine what is coming next. It's nice to look at something else than colors on the ground, but I often do get confused and forget what stance equals what attack. But when you figure it out you do feel like a champ.
A mechanic I just don't like though is Zodiark's platform rotation. I'm just not good at that kind of stuff, and there's very little reason to try and figure it out yourself when people are already congregating on one spot in the map and it's just easier to follow along.
Surprised to see so many people disliking forced movement mechanics (like arrow in end of first ivalice raid). I quite like them. I just tap mouse til I'm pointed where I need to be and I'm off
