    Rdm Verholy targeting

I was thinking about this ability and how situational it is compared to verflare. Has anyone else thought of ways it could be improved like having the heal effect be based on the rdm position or being able to target allies with it instead of needing an enemy to target.

I think the heal potency is good, but I can't really take advantage of it except in certain circumstances. And even then I wonder if I would've just been better casting verflare instead.
Maybe if it's cast on ally it does no damage but doubles healing potency, kind of like how the limit break works. Idk that's probably way to powerful but does anyone else think Verholy could use a little bit of creative thought put into it? Or do you enjoy how it currently works?

Tldr how make Verholy useful as verflare.

Kind of like how you need to target an enemy with Seraph Strike even though there's a Protect element to it you kind of wish would go on allies instead of near enemies?

Yeah kinda. If seraph strike was seperated into two abilities that shared a cool down. One doing more damage and the other providing the protect effect with less damage. But they could both only be targeted around an enemy, then yes.

Seraph strike does both things regardless, so it's not really the best example. You're not trading damage for the protect effect like you do when you choose Verholy over Verflare.

Yeah but you'd kind of want to throw Seraph Strike into allies sometimes, without having to rely on them being near an enemy for them to get the Protect.

That's true. Sorry I think I was missing your point earlier. I get what you are staying. It would be nice if you could choose to place both of these abilities on allies or even an aoe ground target, like how caster lb used to be, but much smaller.

I wonder what other abilities would benefit from this?

IMO, Protect should be tied to Cure 3 and not seraph; thus give the WHM autonomy on when and where to apply.
