Glamour Question

I'm sure it has something to do with how the game is coded, but on the off chance it isn't: What reason is there for glamors to have the same requirements to wear as using it as armor?

It's an illusion that provides no combat bonuses, and it's pretty frustrating when items that would go well together can't be worn together for an ultimately arbitrary reason.

There is no reason and I truly doubt it has anything to do with code as far as my limited-but-present knowledge of the stuff knows.

We don't know for sure whether unrestricted Glamour is being held back by code or just the developers not wanting to do it (because "immersion"), so all we can do is try and make ourselves heard!

With that in mind, I highly recommend also posting in this thread we've got going for that exact purpose, as the more replies a thread gets the better its chances of making it to the devs!

It’s nice to see gear on a player and have a good idea of their job. I like having job identities and would prefer to not see a BLM wearing WHM gear.

We have enough no job/class glamour items out there. Having job/role identity is a good thing.

I'm going to have to disagree, I like glams that look *nothing* like what your job should be. (A light-themed reaper or dark knight for example.)

You don't need to know someone's job at a glance, it's a game with a cosmetic system.

I'm sharing gear with Casters, and most Aiming gear looks like it belongs to Scouting.

What an original argument.

Have you ever told a player they "look the part", or receive likewise? Are you at least aware players get such compliments? What that is, is job/role identity, and the admiration of it.

Bikini tanks don't desire to look the part. There is nothing wrong with that, but they also don't look like a tank. The reason we are able to make that distinction is because of job/role identity. What players like the one you quoted are pointing out, is that they would prefer for those lines to not be blurred further. Can you comprehend that?
