    Don't make me excited like this. I largely became indifferent to BLU after leveling it to lvl 50 and doing some of the Menagerie (the minigame, I think) but that idea? Something just sparked in me about BLU: hope they greenlight this. That sounds fun as hell (and something to fill in lull times too). What you guys think?

    When I first read it I was like "..eh.." because I thought it was based on the kits you've already obtained (which sounds like a balance nightmare with a lot of lopsided interactions), but reading further oh no.. That makes it actually pretty interesting.

    I could see some skills having charges and such too (snort with 2x the range on an instant cast oGCD 2 charges- YEE HAAWW lol), with some of the more interesting spells being the one the content uses as a pool.

    One thing that might help as well is if you could learn those skills which originate outside of that content from within that content. Like whether you pick it up or see another blue mage use it and you kill them, it all has a chance for you to learn them. Maybe at the end of the match to prevent weird behaviors (like beelining / focusing on one person / quitting, etc). So at the end all the spells you've seen but not earned, one of them has a decent chance of being selected- with perhaps consolatory type concepts if you've learned them all.

    I still hope they consider a remix of earlier skills to make them more interactive to each other (not just literally X -> Y like ram / dragon voice, but also things like this makes bubbles, that pops bubbles, this makes dot, that consumes dot, etc, etc- like a rogue-like passive system that stacks on each other in cool ways (like Hades)). The newer released skills are fairly interesting, but I feel both the pacing and style of the earlier skills could get some love (some skills are really born to die, have casting times making them feel bad, go counter to what I'd call as 'fun' design.. like self stunning myself is /never/ fun unless I control a party and in this case I play one person, etc).

    I think a lot of fun things can still be done to blue... Like you might have canes that have special effects (Ramuh cane has X% chance to cast a lightning spell on magic attack to random nearby enmity monster, double when you cast lightning based magic).

    The Eureka / deep dungeons.

    Maybe some sort of witcher mutagen / Diablo 3 Horadric cube passive / FFXI passive system as well to take kit building even one step farther to the next level.



    Massive shougun tangent aside and on point... that sounds like it could be quite fun.

    Hopefully they might devise some way to help it last longer, even if it's AI or something. I would worry that it is hot for two weeks and then, like the other blue group focused content, becomes aggressively prohibitive to enjoy later. Maybe they can use the same system for a deep dungeon like concept. Blue Mage Rogue-like (extra points if you get random spells but also other things like passives or spell affixes, all water spells make bubbles, lightning cooldowns are 100% faster when a water spell is being cast, etc).

    Yes this is worthy trying. I want to go and bad breath everybody. Then I'll finish them with Phantom Flurry and Feculent Flood.

    We could just have pvp duels in the Celestium arena. We already do blue mage vs blue mage in pve.

    sounds interesting actually. You could make it so certain moves are only learned in this mode as well as have certain moves be also learned here by the same creature/boss we see in instances. Plus you can get pvp series xp and job xp so i see this idea(if executed good) as a perfect addition
