Even BFA was a financial success, yes.

It's not how many stay subscribed for the entirety of the expansion. It's how many buy that box copy/digital download of the expansion itself that makes it a financial success (3.4 million day one sales reported).

That it was a game play disaster didn't matter. Activision Blizzard had already made their profits.

I didn't even play the first one. It looked like a stinky game to me so I passed on it. Looks like I made the right choice in the long run, lol.

The first game was actually pretty decent. It's why the backlash against the sequel was so strong.
