Still think there should be more wards, and that isn't changing.
There should be more Large plots since it's been proven that there are more players that have more than 100 million gils since Shadowbringers.

Honestly, I have no idea what they were thinking giving so little personal wards for housing. I understand it was an issue in the past, but when you go forward after adding a new housing district, it thins things out. The issue is they gave us so little wards for personals that the current amount of people who do own personals in fc only locations now don't have as much room to move out. We have at least 40 people competing for a single large already, and the number is only going to grow.
I was excited for the lottery system, but whoever's idea this was just killed my chances of ever owning a large. I'll still play along for now, but it seriously needs to be addressed. We need more personal wards, or something has to be done about personal housing indefinitely.
Who needs a 100 million gil house when you can get 100 million gils worth of Bee's Knees dances at one of them cafes?
At present there are 78 bids across 2 private mansions on my server, 20 on goblet and 58 on mist.
FC houses have ofc far fewer bids, friend of mine has bid on a mansion for his FC and he is 1 of 3.
I would say all those bidding day one are more keen, so that is 76 private buyers who will fail and have no house. They not meeting demand ofc but... it's not THAT many people in the grand scheme of things.
I expect the popular servers to ofc have more bids. Still, they getting closer to meeting the need on my server at least. I still dream of instanced housing but hey ho. What do I care now, I have 2 mansions.
I'd like to let everyone know that it's been only past 8 hours and Mateus personal for Empyreum Medium is
This is crazy for personal ward since there are only 19-24.
For those who think this is okay and who say things like "Stop complaining" "Be glad for what you have" are either those who touch grass and have housing and are satisfied, or who just don't care.
In August, while true, it still won't fix the glaring housing issue that we currently have. It'll still likely be wards 19-24 for personals. And I DOUBT, anyone is going to want to transfer to a new server just to own a house and then go see friends on the other datacenter, it's a complete mess.
Nobody wanted to hear the dark side of the lottery back then. Nobody wanted to hear that lowering the entry options into housing will be bad for overall chances for getting an house. Thats only the beginning. Wait for the time when all plots are taken and only a few will open per lottery cycle. You will wish that the hidden timer would be still a thing.

No thanks, will take Lottery over hidden timer any day. No matter how abysmal the chances.
Good riddance to placard clicking bots and 24/7 ward scanning bots who would instantly relocate into open mediums/larges.
Ultimately, this is a supply issue caused by SE's stubbornness in doubling down on the limited ward housing system over nearly the last 10 years. A system which is not a long-term, scalable solution as server populations increase.
Possible solutions to address the supply issue:
1. Improve apartments. Let us be able to upgrade them for gil into penthouses.
2. Make Island Sanctuary a viable alternative to ward housing.
3. Introduce a fully instanced housing system while keeping the existing ward housing.
This way players who just want any house, can go the fully instanced route. And those who want exclusive/flex houses can compete for ward houses.
I think the bigger problem is, that there are still gil limits to transfer, and therefore it'll be difficult to buy a large in a fresh new server.
If I am wrong, please cite to correct me. Because I personally am not sure how it works.
