This housing system is TRASH

The lottery system itself is good, I will start off with that, much better than clicking a placard for hours to lose to some bot.

But the RATIO for FC to personal, is some hot trash. There is no need to have wards 1-18 for FC only. I say this cause take an FC with 25 members, those 25 members not only have their FC house, but can also go and each one also get a private house.

Wards 1-18 are fc only, 19 to 24 are personals
So 60 houses per wards, 18 wards and 5 housing districts
60 x 18 x 5 = 5400
Is there even 5400 FC in Hyperion?!
Yet alone in any other server
There are 5050 total FCs on Hyperion. 3739 of them only have 1-10 active members
This math was done on initial launch of new housing system regarding the wards.

So on just Hyperion alone, there will be 350 VACANT FC PLOTS. That could go to private, but won't.

My suggestion to make it fair, is either..
1. Open it back up to how it was before
2. Make main division personal and sub division for FC, or vise versa.
3. ADD MORE WARDS AFTER 24, PUSH IT UP TO 32, 38, 40.
4. Make it like how apartments work, once wards 19-24 are filled, 25 shows up, once 25 fills, 26 shows up. Auto add new wards once other ones fill.

There is more people trying to buy personals, and have that own bit of them, their creativity, their space in the game, than there is FC's.

Don't forget about the individual player who is the one paying for their sub, the individual player who wants a spot for their own. inb4 well you can buy an apt or a room in an fc. It's not the same. its just not the same, space wise, etc.

And yes, because there will be someone who will say ''guess who lost their lottery hahahaha'' yes I did, I lost my bid on a medium on initial launch of new housing and just now today on a small. So I am baby raging as well.

How many more lottery cycles with almost empty FC wards do we need to go through? There is probably 8-9 houses in my FC ward in Ishgard with no bids even on medium plots it's ridiculous. They need to open them up to individuals now that FCs have had a chance to get one.

Opening it up back to what it was before is yikes. The only solution is the obvious one. Add more wards. No change or tweaks in the system will change that & it's the only issue. The lottery is fair, the cycle is just a tad to long since you literally only get 3 bids in per month with 1-3% chance to get one.

The system can, make it like apartments, once a ward fills, it auto adds another. so if wards 19-24 are full, 25 shows up for its cycle, 25 fills? 26 shows up for its cycle.

As has been explained repeatedly, FC Wards are created because they have the potential to service the most players with a home. If you have an FC that isn't terrible, you have can talk about what the house should look like, and have your own room as well. When housing first arrived, it was FC, and then eventually opened to private houses. It is possible they will eventually do the same here.

The reason why there are 350 VACANT FC PLOTS is that people can only bid on one plot. Unless the FC has hundreds of millions of gil, they can't have every member bid on multiple options, and most people want a medium or large. So they are going to bid on the mediums and larges first, and then later go for the small. The fact that even two (really only one) lotteries have been held doesn't change that fact. The FC wards will fill up after a few cycles are complete.

So yeah, I'd agree with you. Most of your complaint is really loss-raging.
