I believe there is, but that would be if you could reach 100% crit with stats alone.

Crit stat increase both crit rate and crit damage.
You never loose on the stat.

Picture a frequent lottery, the more ticket are purchased, the higher the reward.
If you invest a lot in these lotteries, you will get a frequent, bigger reward.
