Ideas for Instanced Housing!!

You say that very negatively like people shouldn't want an easier time getting a house or something, I don't understand. But yeah people get very upset when they can't get one, I've had friends quit the game over it, as I said before.

And yet, there are apartments and this is a start for many players - a toe dipped in the water. They are not ideal, but they hold 100 items, and can be made to look nice.

I'd hope that those friends who left the game had decorated apartments first, it would be a shame if they quit when they hadn't even tried decorating using the instanced housing system that already exists - apartments.

Hmm, thinking about it, maybe, the devs need to make it a prerequisite of personal plot lottery that you have held an apartment for 30 days. That would cull off some of the non-invested players. Make sure people know what they are getting into with the cost and effort of decorating.

The specific friends I am speaking of were veterans who had played since ARR and did have apartments. One of them actually had a small house, but she wanted a large because the smalls are just VERY small, as you probably know. She didn't manage to out-click the other person at the large plot she wanted, so then when she checked ALL the other large plots they were already taken, and she was basically like "I have played this game for so long and this is what I REALLY wanted, and I didn't get it because it's so limited" so she just quit.

New wards would just end up with a LOT of empty smalls and mediums. No one wants a small. If you don't like the idea of instanced housing then large plot only wards would be another solution.

Because most large FCs want a large house to match their player count. It's not far fetched logic. There's also a pretty big difference between the number of mansions and smalls per server, naturally people will go for the smaller supply (mansions or mediums) in the hopes of being one of the chosen few to own one.

Saying people don't want smalls though is a bold and untrue assumption though. Just wait until this round of lotto is over and the FCs that didn't get lucky with a larger plot start going after them.

Impossible. No video game known to mankind has ever been able to accomplish instanced housing. It is a fever dream that will take hundreds of years before it will be reality. And even then each instance could only hold like 10 items before the universe itself would collapse from the server load they cause.

We need upgradeable housing not instanced housing. I should be able to buy a small and then grind/spend to upgrade it to a large.

I agree with that, my idea was to have upgradeable instanced housing because I don't know how they would implement upgrading houses currently. But if they made wards that were ALL large plots and you start with a small house and then upgrade it to medium, then large, that would work!

Honestly, I feel like if they add more wards they should be large plot only wards, because NO one wants a small, as the currently 90% empty Ishgard FC wards can attest. Well they're very empty on my server anyway, because no one even tried for smalls, and most mediums, except very few people. But ALL the larges are taken of course.
