FFXIV randomly dumping to desktop

Steam user here, PC on Windows 10.

I've been having a problem since the last patch- without any crash window afterwards or warning (or change in gameplay), FFXIV is instantly and seemingly randomly closing down. Today alone it's:

1) Dumped twice during a Mt. Ordeals trial.
2) Idling in the Gold Saucer doing absolutely nothing.
3) The middle of a cutscene getting a Splendorus Tool (the weaver one).
4) Running down a hallway during Crystal Tower
5) ...and during the Behemoth boss for good measure
6) Standing in the middle of Gridania next to the Carpenter's Guild.

Is there a known issue with the current version that could be causing this?

To clarify, have you received any sort of error messages in the past when this has happened? Are you running any additional programs alongside FINAL FANTASY XIV? Have you tried switching between full screen, borderless windowed, and windowed mode and seeing if there is any change?

No crash windows, nor any signs of odd gameplay issues. FFXIV simply blinks off and returns to desktop without any error messages whatsoever. The only other active programs running is Firefox and Discord, neither of which resulted in issues before the current version. I've had FFXIV running in windowed and borderless windowed when it's closed down.

Thanks for getting back to us. Have you tried disabling any anti-virus software/Firewall (or allowing exceptions to be made for FINAL FANTASY XIV)? I would also recommend performing a clean boot as a start to ensure that there aren't any other programs that could be conflicting with the game. To perform the clean boot, open your Task Manager, and select the 'Start Up' tab. From there, disable all applications listed and restart the PC. Once you have restarted the PC, please try running the game as an administrator to see if that helps.
