    Launcher script error

I can't open up the FFXIV launcher.

    It says

A error has occurred in the script of this page

    Line 1
    Char 1
    Error Invalid character
    Code 0
    URL https://launcher.finalfantasyxiv.com...1187.bundle.js

It then asks if I want to continue running scripts on this page.
It doesn't matter if I click yes or no it just reloads the error.

I know that people have had problems with this but all the solutions talk about internet explorer. I don't have internet explorer and I can't get internet explorer as Microsoft is retiring it.

All I have is edge and chrome.
I'm on windows 11 so stuff that talks about settings that may help don't do anything for me.

I honestly don't know what to do at this point, any ideas?

Hi, I was having the same issue, but this troubleshooting guide that I found in another thread seemed to fix it. Internet Explorer should be an application somewhere in your OS's files. I searched for it in the search bar and managed to find it.

Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:

    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

    Greetings fellow Eorzean,

We appreciate your contact today. We recommend looking into the previously mentioned troubleshooting tips by a fellow user as that seems to apply to your script error situation in Windows. Should the issue persist, please reply back and we'll be happy to assist further.

Thank you for contacting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums!

    I have the same issue.
Did all the process, not working.
    Restore Edge configuration: Not working
    Resinstalling game : Not working
Removing "FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn" in MyGames folder : Not working

    Can someone help me ?

I'm using edge Version 111.0.1661.62 (Official build) (64-bit), on Windows 10, using standard launcher, not steam
