Ok hear me out. If everyone was 100% happy with the game, what would we talk about on the forums? Just constantly talking about how much we love everything in the game and posting pictures of our characters?

Idk about you but one of the things I learned in EW is that you can't be happy all the time and everything can't be perfect. If we didn't have any criticism about the game and the game was perfect, then eventually it would stagnate and die out because we'd get so bored with everything being great all the time.

So see? It's GOOD that we are talking about things we don't like. The forums need the criticism, otherwise people would get bored of the 5 millionth post about what a great job the devs are doing.

To a degree, yes. Things like the "show your character" threads or "Tales from the Duty Finder" and other things which do already exist on this forum, where people discuss their game experience or new additions to the game or announcements, saying whether it appeals to them or not. But that relies on having a regular forum population who come here regularly not because they have an immediate complaint but because they want to discuss all aspects of the game including positive ones. But that needs some cultivating, like moderating and merging threads, or starting official feedback threads for things instead of leaving it for the first person to come in saying "X is awful" and that turns into the discussion thread even if everyone else likes it.

But also, there are degrees of feedback. If a forum is largely populated by people who are positive about the game overall, they are still going to be able to provide feedback and complaints, but it's going to look very different to the complaints made by people who are unhappy with the game on a large scale. They can still talk about which parts of it they are enjoying and which parts are not working well for them.
