So will Island Sanctuary become more like WoW Garrisons?

Like is anyone hoping they'll add the market board, retainer summoner, aesthetician, FC bank, mount stable, and glamour dresser to our Island Sanctuary?

Being in WoW, Garrisons have the auction house, transmog station, bank, the mount stable, profession buildings and you can have all your pets out. You get what I'm saying. Like I don't EVER want to leave my Island Sanctuary, I want almost everything to be there so I can afk there waiting for my ques to pop.

while i'm not opposed to any of those things being added to the island doodad, i wouldn't hold your breath. thats gotta be like less than 1% of happening. glam dresser probably a flat 0% until it gets to housing.

Why do you think they kick you out of your house once you queue?
What makes you think the same will not happen if people hanged more in their island sanctuaries?

With how accessible everything is already, they're not likely to put any of that into Island. The dresser in particular is ruled out because that's restricted to inn rooms for technical reasons.

Copying the Garrison one-for-one would be a mistake. Island Sanctuary should just be instanced housing though and not this really scuffed "Garrison" we have now.

Technically, it is instanced housing because it's on the same servers, which is why we can't teleport directly in. We get sent out the second we queue and then transfer back in after the duty is done. It's not intended to be housing as we know it, but a semi-private instance to chill out between whatever.

The only major addition I'd like to see out of those is the retainer bell. Really don't want it to turn into a repeat of garrisons. They sucked.

in short, no, I am hoping they do not become like WoW's garrisons any more than they are now. I believe the garrison idea was meant to appease WoW players asking for player housing. either way, certainly was not a fave part of WoW and while I lik ethe island more than I liked garrisons, it is not a favoured part of 14 for me
