Honestly, both sides are guilty of this. On one hand you have the "white knight, toxic positivity" insults and on the other you have "whiny, entitled, don't like it get lost" crowd. Both positivity and negativity will get you attacked by someone here. People just like arguing too much, to the point where they'll argue for the sake of an argument regardless of whether they have a good point or not.

Also both sides really need to stop bringing insults into their posts. Any post that directly insults other players for their opinions is automatically in the wrong and derailing the discussion (even mine if I've done so in the past).

Around here, at least, it feels like any attempt to say anything positive about the game is immediately bombarded with arguments and insults, accusations of white knighting or toxic positivity, or quickly derailed into yet another rant about EW's story. Usually two or more of the above. We get it, people have legitimate complaints, but other people are allowed to enjoy things too.

Mostly my whole thing is using sarcasm as a coping mechanism for general exhaustion and burnout over the world at large, especially over the last few years, but that's neither here nor there.

But less flippantly, my point was that any attempt at actually discussing anything is getting buried behind people who endlessly repeat the same complaints in every thread, which not only kills discussion and leads to the entire place feeling negative, it's also just boring. But Twelve forbid they actually be told that, because apparently their right to repeat themselves at the expense of talking about literally anything else is sacred and anyone who disagrees is a troll/white knight/whatever other meme insult they feel like pulling out.

The Forum has always been infamous for this, this goes way back to Heavensward too you can find tons of threads on Reddit and elsewhere of people wondering why the Forum is so negative and toxic from way back then ( that's rich coming from Reddit lol, but yeah ).
And Heavensward is held up as the peak of the game it seems but I still have very clear memories of how the forums were back then and it was no different...
I think it wouldn't be so damn annoying if it was 1 or 2 threads but they keep making completely pointless threads endlessly.

I am happy with the game some things I dislike but not to the point of stopping playing unless I get burned out.

I began in March 2010 as a Alpha tester and I have played more or less on and off ever since. I see a lot of people having fun in the game still

I think ones would be happier if they released more content at a time than they do now. Seems like now it's months of waiting before any main story content comes out.

People just whine and troll on here. Really the only issues going on are a lack of housing, and the Hrothgar/Viera hair and headgear limitations. For 99% of the population everything is fine.

The only issues you say - yet the story and the state of healers are two huge topics. I rarely hear people ingame complain about Viera headgear limitations but that doesn't mean it's not an issue just because I am mostly ignorant to it. Classic "You're all just whiners, everyone else is happy" reply and a perfect example for the attitude of the "other side".
