Grand Company - Seperation does not equal fun!

Sorry to dredge this up but I just returned to the game with some friends.... I think people are independently interested in different companies for whatever reasons. 1.22b patch notes indicate they did indeed make it so you could participate in other companies' caravans but it looks like it's unlocked via a much later quest. Do you think it would behoove us to agree on a company to pay together sooner or is acquiring seals not really important until later, anyway?

Hopefully you see this in time, but you should not have any problems if everyone goes into different companies if they want to do so. Most of the GC quests are eventually soloable and the ones that aren't you can do together no matter your affiliation.

The reason this was a big issue for Caravans is because it was the only content that you could not do with other companies at all and it's now one of the best sources of seals. As you thought, seals are not really worth using until high levels and higher company ranks as the gear available in those ranks is actually pretty nice.
